Oreo.... the term 'cry wolf' is an old adage. Have you never heard to story 'The Boy who Cried Wolf" ? It's a story, I wasn't saying he was crying as in weeping. You have to know the story to understand it. I re-edited the post, to make that more clear.

I do, but people have been banned for constantly telling other to "go cry more" etc. So I'm playing it safe by saying that anything along those lines isn't good.

Cry is a multi-use term. 

You can use it as a verb to describe emotional response, or you can use it as a verb to express shouting out / calling out. I was using one of two very different iterations of the word. I understand your wanting to 'play it safe', and that's cool. But you have to read what context the word was being used in, not just the word itself.
