I'll never understand people like that. Sephiroth parties with Zack... In fact, most of the actual protagonists of the ff games have psychological issues, yet they are still able to find other characters to party with. Tao is absolutely right. It's an online game. Even if you barely talk and treat other players like they are AIs, there is no reason not to team up. It's faster, more efficient, and more fun. Wooh, that last part sounded like a Six Flags plug....

But... butt.... Zack is dead D:

lol seriously though, I end up soloing lv 1-15 on a new char half the time because finding parties (or making them) is so damn impossible.

I think players are leveling too fast since in 3 days you can be 35+ easily. This means that we need to have a constant flow of new characters which the current conditions hasn't supported for the low levels to be populated. Quests are also given more emphasis than MM grinding now. I see more players doing quests below lvl 30 than waiting outside the MM. The fact that new players can't ever hope to compete when they settle down in the high levels is also an large deterent plus they have half of the maxinv slots needs to be considered an important issue.

Also at least we aren't in Maplestory populations where you can't see anyone outside of the mm portals and have to hope you click the right party and you have to fight over the 4-5 spawn points for a quest. Or CSS is filled on every spawn point and you have to fight off KSers every minute of it.

You make it sound like they're making WP crash on purpose. And that's just silly.

I honestly think Gravity's stuck in a gray area here: They don't want to shut down all of their game services (i.e. their main flow of income) while they fix the problem, but at the same time, latency issues are angering the players they've been hoping not to disappoint. And in the end, they have (at least with the Dragon Saga community; I haven't bothered to check the other games) the worst of both worlds. They're a good company though, so everything'll come around in the end.

Besides, Hastur's already taking steps with community events to bring some new faces to the game.

Well...how should I respond to this? Ultimately...I'll say, that your optimism is refreshing and I hope you are correct.

However...my definition of a 'gray area' is one that is not quite so delineated and is colored by 2 factors...work ethic & greed. Now...here's an example: I am a drug dealer in a world where drugs are LEGAL and I have vending machines set up throughout your city to dispense "my product". But I am lazy...and I like to drink and sleep all day and watch porn....not necessarily in that order of priority. Now one day...my vending machines all begin to break down...or I decide it's too much effort to go stock them....or w/e...

Now, drug addicts being drug addicts...those foos are still gonna want my shizz, no matter if it's convenient or not...and me, being lazy and greedy, I'll still take their money but I'm not gonna sweat fixing all those vending machines when it's #1...gonna cost me...and #2...gonna cut into my porn....erm I mean my beauty-rest.

I think you see where I am going with this.

I could go on and on & make a pretty entertaining story out of this...but I gotta get my 'beauty-rest'.
