My biggest concern is with this, in fact. The threat that crowd controllers like Frost Jokers pose is significant because just their mere presence can force people to change their loadout and/or be on their toes.
In TE, Fier rolls between damage armor and unfrozen on her hwiz. If she isn't careful she gets frozen by the opposition or even our own bards using Frost Joke if we aren't careful. This is an example of skill differentiating good players from bad, because good team coordination and skilled armor swaps driven by map awareness will make the difference between life and death. This unfrozen shadow set proposes to significantly reduce or even remove all that intricate gameplay, lowering the skillcap and reducing the need for coordinated teamwork. Enemy Storm Gust? Meh, unfrozen shadow set. Frost Joke? What Frost Joke?
Yeah, I definitely understand and I think it would have the biggest impact on TE.
You'll have unkillable peco classes and ninjas zip zoping around too.
OH AND TO BE FAIR, DAZZLER HASN'T BEEN A THREAT IN AGES
Immunities shouldn't be handed out this easily for crucial status effects (at least in a pvp setting where they actually matter). Namely some of the most important classes like sura and ranger wouldn't have any downside to going full damage, and others would be immortal with tao without having to spend on any ingame gears to achieve 100 mdef (sure, noobs would love it but that's removing end game goals too).

Less of a deal for suras since they can already remove frozen from themselves, but it's a perk for sure.
Rangers who one shot people now will still one shot them.
I'm interested in seeing the math for a lesser geared ranger (using a bryn for example) and without an MvP bow to see if it is capable of one shotting someone.
Poorer people can also gain more survivability with the set.
I think a lot of people are forgetting that you could achieve freeze immunity with 100 int when Renewal first came out.
No one really complained back then, but it was changed and I'm starting to think it's because they wanted to make money with things like this.
You get so many stat points that you can trivialize most status effects and skills (almost all gx poisons)
At this rate we probably will never see cool things like the fiberlock glove.
A lot of classes can already achieve immunity to being frozen in the current meta and they give up nothing or very little to do it.
I understand some of the complaints, but a few people in this thread simply don't won't it implemented because they make zeny from selling mdef enchants.
I'm also interested in hearing what anyone out there would use this for if it's restricted to PvE and how you would justify the price outside of a shadow refine event.
This set will probably change how WoE/TE works (especially TE)
warning: low quality video
As you can see, the entire enemy guild got frozen because there was no unfrozen on. It would definitely affect TE a lot. Since people can just run around without undead/unfrozen armor. Ninja can wear Tao, Pally can wear Tao, Hwiz can wear Nydd card without worrying about being frozen. Making frost joke completely irrelevant.
Working towards a certain gear is always better than attack gear without any penalty. Now you need mdef 100 to not get frozen and can wear tao, you sacrifice attack gears for defensive gear. But if you remove the need for 100 mdef and is able to get frozen immunity + attack gear, a lot of classes will be made useless/more overpowered for other classes too.
I don't see how this gear will be useful for pvm, mvp/monster that can freeze? Slotted elemental armor + unfrozen. (it's only +- 60m) most people can afford that even new players. (just go farm hazy 50-60 (3 days-2 weeks?) times you can get it already) i've done many instances with just unfrozen slotted elemental armor and i don't really see the need for unfrozen shadow gear for it to be use in pvm, so i really think this is more for WoE uses.
Edit: you can easily get cheap slotted elemental armor with the new 120+ instance too (jitterbug), you can buy it off vend cheap + unfrozen or just farm it.
I don't see a lot of people saying what advantage it would bring to PVM, the one for WoE are mostly just that they don't get frozen, different gameplay and all. Kro changing their playstyle, doesn't mean we should follow their playstyle. pvp style = less people, you may say there are still gvg but if there is so much pvp going on and only a few gvg, it give me the feeling that people will leave the WoE scene because there is less coordinated attack/rush and more soloing, people get seperated, less guild fight = eventually WoE population reduce.
If you guys implemented it anyways just disabled it in WoE, since if there's that people do argue it's useful for pvm, let them use it for pvm :y
Freeze isn't the only status used in WoE; Sleep, Curse, Stone Curse, Bleeding, Coma, and even Stun are fairly common to see. No, this doesn't mean eliminating Freeze is fine, reducing gameplay is not in any way beneficial for the long-term health of the game.
