Gravity is not going to cancel woe because they DON'T KNOW HOW. Campitor is on holiday and no one in charge is there to make any decision about the state of getting DDos attacked. By letting the servers continue to run and getting disconnected 50 times in 1 woe, you are promoting whoever is DDosing to keep doing it cause you do nothing about it.

Without going into details, I wish to point out that there is no silver bullet solution against DDoS, and that even achieving moderate levels of mitigation (read: not prevention) is very costly. This issue has nothing to do with the competency of WarpPortal's "IT guy", as someone so eloquently called out.

 

I understand and share the situation's frustration with everyone else, but a great deal of frustration here seems to be misdirected. The only party deserving of blame here are the miscreants behind the attack.

 yeah your right abt this, if one of the most secure places in the world with nuke capablities got hacked why do ppl even think that game servers cant be hacked? wiki leaks? lol even big banks,top3 in the world gets hacked in its just that if your on the crosshairs of hackers pray that you detect them early and get to trace them other

btw are you guys protecting the payment site? cos if anything else is important here its that site you got records of our transaction done and our credit card infos and for future transactions to be safe also

 

gotta make this on top of your priority, take down payment sites if you have to for the meantime if you guys think there could be a security problem here

Necrohealiac asked me to relay this message. He has been IP banned from the forum and the game, I guess in the process of attempting to block the DDOS attacks you guys have also IP blocked innocent players?

U can tell that person to change  IP Address and come back here to troll. GM team threatening me like this only idk when i am gonna get IP banned from forum and game        i am already ready to change my IP address

when blizz was being hacked blizz at first didn't focus what chars would lose cos they can always fix it, actually I lost all mygears and gold that time and they just reverted it back, but what blizz did immediately is make sure all records of credit cards and payment sites are safe, like I said art of war, use a direct attack to distract and an indirect attack to get your objective, its never too safe to secure payments cos if that happens its not within warp portals control anymore.  for example if your card got hacked who is gonna have to fix it? WP wont even be able to do anything and when you see your card (example: 20k usd gets maxed) who gets the hassle? and you find out abt it when your buying gas for car and your card is out and don't have cash at that moment

A DDOS attack is akin to me ordering a buttload of pizzas to your address that you literally can't do anything but tell each incoming pizza deliveryman that you didn't order that pizza. I'm not going to be able to steal your wallet like that.
