Made a small replay on Gold Scarabas the other day. Not very viable to hunt them consistently with this set, but it's something.

I was gonna suggest trying this out on iRO:



Then I remembered the recent ninja patch to Ice Wall which allows AOE skills to damage and destroy Ice Wall blocks. :(

My Sorc still need some job lvls to get some summons and particular insignias (Agni and Fire insignia, wich is probably much better to kill the boss), but i have a lot of fun doing this instance with him (I dont know man, mages are super fun to play), also was a good time to test zaha doll in an instance and actually procs a ton (at least on sorc), i have the opportunity of testing also on WL on ET and procs a lot aswell with skills like JF on Strings...even then my Zaha is still at low refine level, so i think that making it +9 will be my goal after getting my all purpose +14/15 Crimson Rod.

 

Gears are on the video description (nothing fancy tbh except for deviling and +12 GSOD) :)

I should have brought along an alt Wanderer too. That way I could have used full MAtk gear instead of Aspd+MAtk gear.

It's there to remove Soul Expansion's cast delay. Looks like iROWiki doesn't mention its cast delay (0.5 seconds), so I can see why you asked that.

I made another replay in Gold Scarabas to display the power of the Nightmare AM card. Again, not a skill display, just numbers. =P Unfortunately I couldn't +10 this FAW during the event, else, I'd be using a +12. :(

very nice. seems like NAM card really helps there.

wonder why you use MA and killing one by one, rather than storing some CR in mind then release them. i guess you can take them down in 2 released CR.

First because, as stated before, it was just a number display, and 400K+ damage in a Warlock is such a beautiful thing to see...  :ani_slur:  :ani_awsm:

 

 

Second, I can kill them with one released CR and that gear setup (there's a single scaraba that is killed this way...), but I don't hunt there with that setup. A single Thunderstorm level 20 one-shots me. I have to put on some earth/wind resist to avoid it, but to kill them with CR I still need to amp. Warlock is a terrible class to farm in Gold Scarabas, but it's doable in a somewhat cheap setup... I wonder what other classes, apart from WL and Sorc can farm there, since their Stoneskin almost nullifies physical damage, and increase the magical damage that they receive. Normal Scarabas SS reduces even DB damage...

Still testing out NCT:

 

I'm too slow at finishing the bounty for my liking, but I guess it'll get better once I get used to that map and can pull bigger mobs.

Crimson Rock and Firewall sometimes really work weirdly together... <_<

Very nice video. With your skills (and latency XD) you probably can do it with a SoD for higher damage. I can 2-shot them with one amped and one released, and my Flame FAW just got upgraded to +10 (though my second warlock is 169 and uses a Hero Magic Coat for +10% CR damage). The damage that you will take when they get you will be higher though. :P Also, buy a couple of Alchemy Gloves. Put a Scaraba Card in one of them and a Creamy in the other. Your damage will be higher, and even with the current setup, you'll be able to 2-shot them always.

I tried it with my +11 (crap enchant, no card) SoD and the damage is actually more or less the same as with the gears I used in the video.

So I rather use the one handed staff + shield so I get hit for less.

I also do have 2x Alchemy Gloves with the cards you mentioned. I rather not use those though because the autocast Fireball triggers a lot from Firewall, killing my amp.

They were extremely nice for Scarabas though. :)

They really could make an Improved or Advanced version of them, using 200 Purified Crystals, removing the Fireball autocast and reducing the increment in water damage taken, but specially the fireball effect.

 

When I leveled there with this setup, I used quagmire > kite > Amp > Crimson Rock > small kite > Release to avoid using firewall. I still haven't tried leveling there with the NCT combo, since I got my Neo Punk Card just yesterday. :P

 

Warlocks really struggle in NCT.
