Dominators can assert control over the dead: they can restore dead creatures to life, or summon netherworldly beings to attack their enemies. They are also very skilled in curse magic.
Dominators generally summon monsters, and then cast buff magic to strengthen their minions. These minions are sent to the front lines of battle, and Dominators support them from a safe distance by de-buffing their enemies.
Dominator Class has been one the most underpowered class for many years.
The changes below are supposed to make Dominator a more competitive class, especially in the PvP aspect (where it lacks mostly).
We strenghtened the debuffing aspect of the Dominator, making him the main debuffer class in the game.
The Dominator will be able to debuff a much higher variety of stats with this changes.
Regarding the Dominator Summons, we know they are very weak and needs to be buffed. The summons will be changed in the future, and their stats will reflect their Master (Dominator) stats and gears (not 100% of the stats and not all stats obviously). This will make summons much more balanced and competitive even in the "+30 aspect of the game".
Strenghtening Summoned Monster Attack : This 2 skills were completely useless unless you were an afk dominator, due to the very poor amount of stats and high skill points costs to max them. As a result, the 2 buffs have been fused into a single buff that increase both physical/magical attack of your summons.
Binding Weapon + new debuff : Binding Weapon has changed to a STR/DEX % debuff and a new debuff will be added, that will debuff INT/MIND %. This will make Dominator much more versatile in PvE and PvP, and will open to an higher skill build variety and options.
Attack of Curse : Attack of Curse has been moved to Dominator as a new debuff. This debuff will give dominator the ability to reduce the target SCAD and CAD by %. Considering the loss of the lvl 1 Attack of Curse and the different playstyle of dominator compared to Defiler, this new debuff will give Dominator an higher chance of survivability in PvP, as well the ability to EFFECTIVELY REDUCE ENEMY DAMAGE IN PVP. This debuff is supposed to make the class more popular and competitive in the PvP aspect, and will help countering the "mighty scad and cad builds".
Lithifying Fog : This skill wasn't really supposed to be on Dominator Class, considering it's a SUPPORT type skill (removes stun and gives stun immunity for players that don't know). The skill has been moved to Protector where it fits much better.
Defender/Protector taunt skills will have a much higher HOSTILITY value too.
Broken Morale : In exchange of Lithifying Fog, Dominator will receive Protector's Broken Morale, another debuff that fits very well the Dominator Class.
Note : This are only a part of the skill changes and are expected to change based on players feedback.
Due to various changes to class skills, all classes will have their Skills and DNA reset (and the UJC NPC will be avaiable at Nova Lux).
