level 100 skills prevent from learning other branch. :(

 

Aww, I see.

I was thinking to play this class like a battle bishop (self-supportive DPS) so guess I will have to think about the pros and cons of not maxing the physical; branch in order to get some heal/buff skills.

Hopefully a doram skill calc comes out.

You can build a doram much more powerfull than the videos and much cheaper just having a stringer alt/friend to do stuff with you.

Interesting.

 

The thread about the 'new tier of summoner skills' by CharAznable (probably spelled that wrong) listed many skills that all had the theme of "invest 5 skill points for extremely minor benefits past the first skill point" -- am I correct in assuming Gravity realized they had to burn skill points on Dorams because otherwise they'd be too versatile/good? 

 

The first tier of skills definitely reeked of awkwardly optimized then later nerfed skill builds.

Wouldn't be an issue if they made a Doram Novice with job change to Summoner and 2nd Classes instead of merging everything into one job class.

Interesting.

The first tier of skills definitely reeked of awkwardly optimized then later nerfed skill builds.


Basic skills point = 11
Power of xxx for each branches require 20 skill points invested to all 4 prerequisite skills to gain additional benefit. = 20 + 1 = 21
Spirit of xxx for each branches require another 15 skill points to all 3 level 100 requirement skills = 15 + 1 = 16
11 + 21 + 16 = 48 skill point invested to just 1 branch. only 1 skill point left for other branch. Or learn Soul Attack for long ranged normal attack.

Oh, so the post level 100 skills are still part of the original first class.

Cobolt kindly gave me a doram skill calculator to look at, it's in Korean but you can get an idea of pre-reqs etc.

why did they release extra skills and not increase job level??

 

when they released extra skills for 3rd job they increased job lvl by 10, and thats only 2 skills per char.

 

doram gets 12?? extra skills and job lvl stays at 50.

 

guess its like other says, its there to burn skill pts for 1 build.

Only conclusion I can draw considering many of the later skills give absolutely ridiculously low returns for investment beyond skill level 1.

to be fair, it would be ridiculously the most complete and powerfull class to pvm/solo stuff/mvp/etc if they could make proper use the wide variety of their skill tree lol

did you all remember, long time ago when someone posted jRO vid about GX killing mvps  with 400k damage for the first time ?

most people said it is impossible, not possible in kRO as well, because we dont have same stuff with jRO

the thing changed now we have few gxs in this server than even kill ifrit in 2 secs with 400kish crits

1m+ Cross Impact the thing that we said it is not possible without some item, happened now

and many more

 

so i would say, we cant compare iRO to kRO

compare iRO to jRO not kRO

the content is comparable to kRO, or maybe not ? we have less content than them

but the player skill and character strength same with jRO

to prevent hybrids, so you need to make more dorams to master all builds. more doraaaaammmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm

Yeah, it's just comical how apparent the post-hoc fixing of it via required sunken skill points is.

AFAIK Soul Attack converts your "left click attack" to become long range, up to 15 cells away.
IMO dmg still depends on STR.

I think jRO may have a different stat algorithm for cast delays, MATK etc. from some past discussion on the forums. :questionmark:

Once we get the class here we can certainly get a better idea how it works with iRO server settings.

 

I think it isn't a bad thing if the class requires time/zeny investment on iRO to be able to solo stuff like in the kRO videos, every class is like that, the fact it's doable at all is a cool thing. :rice:

Until they  nerf the crap out of it, because let's face it...they nerf everything on iRO.

 

Arrow Storm is still pretty OP and actually one of the good skills to use against Doram.

 

Since kRO requested the recent jRO RagCans get implemented without many changes despite some of the items being considered OP here there's a good chance Dorams won't be modified that much either. It'll depend on player feedback during testing I think.

 

I know some private servers nerfed Dorams to the point that certain builds became unusable due to over-extended cooldowns etc., so hopefully if they change Dorams for iRO they do so in a way that'll still be attractive to those frustrated private server players.

The problem is, the elitist vets are always the ones who ruin everything that's new for our server, and because they don't want there to be even the slightest chance of something new making them vulnerable, or forcing them to change their playstile, they QQ until they get what they want, and the rest of the playerbase is ignored.  This has already been proven numerous times.

I do find it abit cruel they require one more skill point to master their basic skills tree (Mastering Spirit Marble requires 10 skill points total to unlock the summoners trees).
