We should just let them do it the old fashioned way, kinda sick of giving them 100% accurate advice only for someone to completely ignore it.

I said it even before having the combo and the staff, that bio 5 hat was superior for SE only... for everything else, the Celine combo was superior due to the extra damage.

 

I'm just reaffirming our "theories" with real data (test). Any good scientist will tell you that facts > assumptions any day lol.

 

Also, remember that even with WoE out, I'm still the strongest mage-class user in the server =)

the thing is, this is the only week where you can get a chance to overup +10 celine ribbon. thanks to enriched hammer. high probability that +15 event will come next lol. imagine having +15 all stats. it's dope.

True but if all you want is +9, it is not bad at all even without refine event. There's only a minor difference between +9 and +10 for Celine ribbon bonus. A different story though if you are Moulder and aiming for +13/14 with refine event.

I was thinking of going for +10 but then my celine ribbone enchant is -_- (DEX+1 , ASPD 8%) so i stopped at 9. (it may be a decent for SE spamming, u i refer SPELL or MATK =(  )

 

 

btw, i ended up putting litchen yellow card for celine ribbon for SE purpose, what did you guys (or plan to) put in ur celine ribbon?

Ideally you put Lichtern Yellow(Ghost) or Lichtern Blue(Water) in it, to make use of Soul Expansion and Waterball. The former is spammable and the latter is OP.

I have had both Blue and Yellow Lichtern Celine Ribbons at +9 for quite a while now.

If you only want to make one Celine's Ribbon I'd pick Blue Lichtern for Waterball, since you'll be using La'Cryma set anyways and thus will have the easy 100% MDef bypass with Magician's Glove.

And the Bio5 Hat is better for SE later on anyways.

I have a Blue Lichtern one, and I'm thinking about making a Tikbalang one, as Chain Lightning is a great spell for kiting kitable MVPs in CL, like Kiel. It might be nice to make one "of fire", but I don't know if it's worth it, since OBMH gives both MDEF Bypass, that you might need (if using an SFB) and +10% Crimson Rock damage, and you might not get such a big boost from it.

 

Water Ball is godly against MVPs that a Safety Wall can hold, or whenever you have someone to tank them for you, but it's kinda useless in other situations (e.g.: Ifrit, Kades).

i have not yet checked out kubikyuu's video on stefan, so i want to ask;

 

do you guys use CL or waterball to cut down stefan's HP THEN knock him down with SE with intensification?

I just use SE spam for the entirety of it's HP.

Waterball looks like it misses a lot on him, so idk.

Then again I can now get his HP from full to zero withing a single Intense, with the last video I recorded Intense just lasted for ~half of his HP.

The only change I did was swapping my clean, unenchanted Bio5 hat and Psychic Spirit King's Ring with +9 Telekinesis Celine and a clean Celine's Brooch to make it look like this:

 

 

Buffs used: Guarana Candy, Berserk Potion, Takoyaki, vip buffs (I just get them for the first 30min of a 3h ticket)

ohh and how do you mkae takoyaki ? i am as cheap as an asian guy living alone, so i would prefer to make then spend 21k

The Berserk Pots might or might not be placebo, never measured anything.

But they do make a nice Ticket Timer if you don't die and don't feel like looking at the ticket/a clock.

 

Takoyakis came from the Octopus Festival.

BTW, I always supplied octopus pieces during the event and NEVER managed to get a single Takoyaki. Probably it's full of bots to get them on the festival.

I was able to easily farm quite a lot of Takos:

Just put a lot of alts there - have them open on a 2. PC/Monitor if you can - and as soon as you notice the octopus popping up drop everything to spam as many chars through the dialogue as you can. xD

You dont need to feed octopus legs to get takoyakis. Literally just park a ton of alts there and log them in when the broadcast says it is avaiable. The 1st time i participated the event i've got almost 40k, wich lasts until today, at an almost constant use.

i dun even know how the event goes LOL any how, going back to stefan, if u r spamming SE from the start, dun u run out SP at the end of fight? do you use ygg seed every time ?

 

for me, i used CL to half HP then SE with intencification. that way i get a lot of SP left over at the end so that i dun have to use any pots

I just used the zombies from when you enter + Soul Drain to refill sp. xD

Or for emergencies I always had the Yggs Stefan drops.

But now that I can pop Intense at the beginning I don't even need to do that anymore, since Intense also lowers SE's SP cost.

oh yeah.. forgot that intense reduces SE's SP cost.

 

btw, do you know how soul drain works in terms of draining SP ?  when i kill bunch of mobs at the same time, i only get back SP that's equivalent of killing one monster.. is it supposed to be like this?

it only recovers SP from the monster you targeted the spell, that is if you kill him in that spell. Any mobs that get dropped by it at same time wont give you anything.
