FYI, you're not going to get a "repetitive strain injury" just playing normally. If you play for way more hours per day than you should, maybe, but "repetitive gameplay" isn't your problem, addiction is.

Yeah we dont take breaks every 30mins or so and tend to play for hourssssss.

Spamming rc on gx is as intensive as being a RK in bio 4 party, spamming DB. Those finger exercise HURTS!

I don't have arthritis, so no, it doesn't hurt me.

 

This also assumes you have a good enough connection to the servers to actually do five RCs a second, most will not.

 

I'm not even a particularly dexterous person and I can hit the button comfortably five times a second with absolutely no noticeable pain. If I were to do seven times a second (which isn't necessary), I might start feeling it later... and this would only last a few days of playing.

 

Muscles build. When I first started playing drums I thought I was dying. My entire body hurt. Then it eventually started to just be my foot that hurt, then it was nothing hurting.

the problem isn't hitting it 5 times in a second, is hitting it 5 times a second for ~3 hours that's like 54000 button mashes (assuming you only play 3 hours, some play a lot more) and i also don't have arthritis, but after a hour pressing the same button over and over it starts to hurt, you must be a robot

You are correct; on paper anyway. The server is laggy enough that even with full aftercast delay you're lucky to get 5 per second.

5 times per second with the ideal ping, yes. Oh I was referring to mashing the buttons more than that cause, like with a very light tap where u do not lift ur finger from the button that high and with fast dexterity. And this is because the tune of a person's finger isn't the same, as we cannot set like 100ms delay per 'mash', we do it irregularly hence some of our mash isn't registered cause its mashed before/or way after the delay window period.

 

I maybe over estimating the speed of a human finger. Well I think i probably am, if i do it perfectly 5 per s, i have an APM of 1,000. (Or maybe I'm wrong here, but you get where I was coming from. I hope)

you dont exactly need a perfect connection to be able to spam most stuff at their max speed, there's a slight window in wich the game queue up your actions. Getting used to it will make you an excellent DB chainer :v

FYI, the rules are pretty easy to understand - you simply have to be able to pass a bot test. They can't prevent people using macro mice/keyboards and now AHK.

Whilst the only time I use it is to play GX (I even use pots manually in WoE) I can understand people using modern gaming techniques on this 15 year old game.

Frankly it causes no harm and every player can do it.

If you wanna get personal, that's fine. I'll get reportin' but not for competition's sake. I used to be pretty closed-minded when it came to these things too, so I get where you're coming from... but I grew up. Maybe you will too.  Especially since this has been a discussion with the staff since 2005 when the G15 was launched. 

 

It's not cheating, plain and simple. If you don't like it, write a complaint to campitor or something. You don't get to define what is and isn't cheating. 

 

My definition of cheating lays simply in anything that breaks the game (there's an input/aspd delay for a reason!!!) and that isn't fairly shared out with the entire community. In this case www.autohotkey.com is your best friend.

 

Stop launching petty personal attacks from behind your $5 keyboard you brave soul, and start scripting. 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Just make sure you don't go afk with any of your creations.

You need to realize that bot and macro are different. They are even different software to begin with... In video games there is also difference between cheat engine and glitch. Study them before you claim something....

• WoE Emblems must have visible colors for at least 50% of the emblem sprite
  • ​Strongly encouraged to set emblems before WoE Starts
  • Refrain from switching emblems during WoE
    • ​It takes time for the server and client to update the sprite.
    • If the GM handling the report believes this is being done maliciously it can result in account suspension.
• ​​Do not debuff other players Outside the castles without their permission.
• Use of packet injection to heal, or target other players, or use skills is prohibited.
• Exploiting bugs or mechanics to disconnect other users is prohibited

Social

• Do not impersonate other users, guilds, or staff.
• Do not use character names, guild names, party names, homunculus names, shop names, chat names pets to harass other users. (Ex: 'Campitor is a Loser')
• Do not make rude comments on the subject of looks, race, gender, sexual identity, or sexual preference
• Do not sexually harass other users. No one wants to know what you would do to them.
• Do not threaten other players with real life harm.
  • Threats of the in game variety are okay
    • This mean "I am going to break your castle you Poring Farmer!" is okay
    • "I am going to force you to quit!" is NOT okay
• Public calls for someone to be banned regardless of what they have done shall be considered harassment of that user. This will incur the normal harassment punishment pattern. If you wish to report something you must do so privately to the GM team.

Art

• We ask that users refrain from using art created by other users without permission
• The exchange of art for real money or WPE is not to be advertised on the forum

Tickets

• Do not tell the GMs to hurry up so you can RMT your restored items. They will believe you.
• Although restorations can be frustrating please attempt to treat the GM team with human respect and empathy they should be doing their best to assist you.

Client Edits

• Any Client edit except those that do the following are prohibited. What this means if they are not going to ban you if you use one of the ones below. We do not recommend that you ever edit your client. This can result in game client instability and we cannot assist you if you do so. You may need to reinstall the game to make the client playable again
  • Graphical Edits that help with the display of skill outlines
    • ​Ex Gutter Lines, Over Lays that show skill splash Zone
  • Graphical Edits that are purely Cosmetic in Nature
    • ​Ex. Big Card Edits (Please note replacing monster or player sprites can be viewed as giving players an unfair advantage and may result in account suspension)
  • Informational Client Edits that help with tracking buff timers
  • Creation of Mini Map files for maps that do not have them.
  • Certain Edits that help with client performance
    • ​Ex. Remove Shake, Remove Hallucination
  • Removal of Camera Restrictions on Maps DO NOT EDIT Render RADIUS
  • Use of Keyboard/AHK Macros that Do Not Automate Play
• ​​If you believe that something should be allowed please let Astra know and we will consider it.
