well maybe its worth to put some work into the game. from what i can see quite alot people are buying IM. if you can reach more people and get old people back it means more profit over time.

 

also i dont know why you use german technical terms in your post.

didnt want to hurt your feelings, sorry. i thought the topic turned from rocket punch into unwanted skill behaviour / lags in pvp. 

 

as a reminder if you forgot it, you brought up that if people want a lagfree pvp, other people with high ping arent allowed to join or that you would have to rework the server structure since its a pretty old game.

 

i replied that it might pay out for warpportal to do this, since from what i see Dragonsaga has and Dragonica had always lots of paying player.

 

so how was my answer off-topic since i replied to your post/ suggestions/ solutions? 

 

and to what topic you want to go back? that the problem vossel stated is caused by lag is already cleared. the point of preventing lag in pvp is not cleared and my post was an answer to your suggestion.

 

so i dont understand why you feel so offended again?

RP is a client sided projectile. very different from a standalone projectile.
RP is launched even without being connected to the server very similar to barbarian.
While a standalone projectile like emblem will only work when connected to the server.

What's difference between the ball and the glove? The ball only appear's when connected to the server while the glove does not. Meaning player's hit with the glove on the ninja/savage's client will result in the server predicting that it did land, thus spitting a stun for the enemy despite their location.

 

This is latency issue with server and is not restricted to just rocket punch there are a lot of skills with this issue.

Rocket punch is client aide there ks not much to do when it comes to this because of varying ping of different players. If you are experiencing this it is best to adapt and try to predict how your opponent uses the skill. There are much more skills dangerous than this and doesn't make sense for dev team to work on right now. If anything it needs a buff for big pvp like bsq ew etc. Just my opinion

If I may bug in I might have a suggestion. Make rocketpunch a 100% stun at lv10 instead of 95% with just 30% +- of its current flying range. I have seen it somewhere nevermind where and it seems to be a pretty good balanced out thing.

Na, let's calm down with the talk of RP nerfing. Pay better attention to RP catches while PvPing a Thief and you will decrease the amount of face-tanked RP's by like 80%+. The only way to catch with RP is either to yolo it and hope the person blindly runs into it, counter them while they're rooted in place, or predict their movement patterns for an up-close RP. The skill travels slowly in a straight line and can both be ran around or jumped over. In fact, the easiest way to beat a Thief is actually by camping for their RP to counter it for a free catch......................................

 

While in a room PvP match, which I'm assuming is where OP's frustration stemmed, it's important to play in the lanes slightly above or below a player at all times. It's only necessary to enter their lane for a catch/counter and then you can immediately move back up/down to safety. Keep this in mind when PvPing Thieves and simply run around the RP to catch them.  You can also run straight at them with the assumption they'll cast an RP your way and simply jump it into a cutdown then attempt to predict their roll. Any issues regarding lag and canceling have already been addressed here, and that was the main cause for OP's thread creation. It's nearly as easy to avoid as Blizzard if you actually make avoiding it one of your main focuses and play with proper movement techniques for room pvp. Thieves are two of the more balanced classes at this time.

I completely agree, is necessary a rework or nerf.The hitbox of the rocket punch It's really absurd, it hit you anywhere sometimes.
