so you are using temp str ? hmm what build is it? what about your cast time ? ( i assume you are going for slugshot build )
Is 120 str boots bonus better than 120 dex boots bonus?
Think about it like this right. You can 3 shot NCT mobs with Round Trip, in fact can almost 2 shot them with the right amount of stacking. You can also one shot them with Fire Rain. Either way, for general purpose mob clearing what point is something like say... 200 DEX? I suppose if you auto attacked them with a build like that then sure.
So that's your AoE covered, so then we go to something single target like Slug Shot. All Temp Dex Boots does is give you 0.5seconds off your Fixed Cast Time. That's it. You have a skill that can reduce it to that for 100z, or better yet just get someone to sac you. If you did use Temp Dex, the best case scenario is that you will achieve 0.25seconds of fixed cast time. That's it. You have 9 seconds of variable to deal with, the only way of which for you to deal with is to either roll 120 INT/DEX which in the end you will lose a LOT of damage as a result, or to proc HE which means you have to take your time for it to proc, and even then only get 1 use of Slug Shot out of it. It's better to stack damage and just deal with the cast time and one shot most MVPs than it is to do an instant shot which will only kill slightly more MVPs in 1 shot, but not all of them. The thing that will allow you to 1 Shot most MVPs requires 120 STR and is a jRO item we do not have yet.
So, going 120STR/DEX, you may as well just get EA enchant on Temp Str Boots. That is 50 ATK + 7 ATK per 3 upgrade levels. Versus +3 Dex and fixed cast reduction. It's a clear winner IMO since there is no actual way to fully instant cast your Slug Shot and even if there was the CD completely makes it pointless to do so, since the goal will be to always strive for the first shot kill. And there is no real purpose for HE or any of the special OGH enchants, I suppose you could always keep LD for farming purposes?
If you ever decided you wanted to Kite an MVP, you would also use Fire Rain over any other skill since it has good range and deals a truck load of damage. And THAT requires no fixed reduction. So yeah, TLDR DAMAGE > FIXED CAST REDUCTION.
