So, my friend had problems while playing ragnarok, for some reason every time he used a warp/teleport to another region he got the "Please wait..." dialog box but it would just freeze up to that point and he had to close the game and re-open again, after a few times closing the game he got a "no client info" error on the patcher so he re-installed the game but when he finished downloading he proceeded to patch the client but the patcher is going patch by patch (for example: updates 2017-06-08 then it says "patch process completed"  but when he selects a character the game just don't load, then after opening the patcher again it patches from 2017-06-15 and it keeps going) after sometime he got a "failed to connect to patch server", already re-installed many times, so no clue on what to do next, any help is appreciated, thanks

He just did the procedure but after patching the client it showed a error message "no client info file" he closed the patcher and opened it again and the client just started patching again from ~2017

Are they on metered connection?
Basically their client is not properly patching.

He says he's not on a metered connection, but there's really something off with his connection (even tho he can play some other games just fine) i just uploaded my whole RO folder to him just to make sure everything works, he downloaded it (surprisingly at normal download speed) he managed to log in but even then he keeps getting disconnected from the server and sometimes it takes some tries to get back in, i guess it's somehow his internet, he has already gone to sleep today so tomorrow we'll see if everything is back to normal or what, anyways thank you so much for your help Cinnamon =]
