Some of their other games and especially Ragnarok 2 are Western Global servers, including Europe.

With actual language support.

Gravity is just selling the license for euRO too often.

"Y'know what, new euRO, same game, different company you pay to."

As for Nexon.

Nexon has migrated all of European Service to North America.
Nexon Europe does technically not exist anymore.

Because the law demands that they grant you full, unlimited access to your data at all times.
As far as i know, you having to use a VPN to access said data is NOT having full, unlimited access to it.

 

and knowing Germany and the European Union in general they'll be like "Well we can see the law being void if a user voluntarily provides the Data despite an IP-Block, but it would still require the Service to first delete all data."
Because they're stupid like that. In some parts of Germany, Twitch-Streamers need to apply as a TV-Channel if they're too big.

While you're right, the EU can force Companies to abide certain rules when dealing with citizens of their countries.
The same is true for any EU-Country dealing with American people. They need to abide certain rules of America to do so.

This Law is to protect the personal data and such of EU-Citizens, so the EU can and will force this law.

 

Honestly it's stupid legal stuff that also can be really annoying for End-users

Square Enix Europe does not allow Swiss-Players to purchase Game Time for certain games by PayPal only using PaySafeCard or Credit Card.
This is also due to a law from either Switzerland or whatever Country S-E EU is in disallowing PayPal Transactions for this from Switzerland.
Annoying but nothing the End-User or SquarEnix can do about it.... Well technically S-E can do something about it but as long as they can charge extra fees for PaySafeCard and Credit Card Transactions, Why not?

Till Warp Portal actually makes a statement what happens to our accounts or what REALLY is the cause of it, it's probably most save to assume that the cause is the GDPR-Law being enforced at the exact date.
So they will probably be required to delete all european accounts. Since the GDPR-Law disallows storage of data without giving the End-User full access to it (and i would say blocking the IP is the opposite of full access)

i mean we still have roughly 30 days of hope that something happens and they revert this decision.

Nope Thailand is not blocked. When I was in Thailand for summer, I WoE'd here in iRO. The lags were not bad. I was able to record WoE live.

They should then be redirected to contact that Southeast Asian player base we have that are actually in those places that do play in iRO so these people can be taught how to bypass into iRO.

Other Game Providers probably already adjusted to these new laws when it initially passed 2016 and have nothing to worry about.

If, you, already have an account you won't get blocked. Registering through WP is what's being blocked. I dunno about Thailand but that's how it works in PH.

I feel sad for EU players.
I wonder if this is WP's fault since they can't adjust to the laws in time while the laws have been announced since 2016.
