I dont play this game anymore, but having so many good and nice memories. Very sad to read our accounts are becoming disabled. And typical to announce this at the last moment...

Hopefully one day Rose is able to play again in Europe and they improved it too, with the longlasting promised new worlds, but I guess probably not   :D

A company must have lots of money, to kick that huge amount of paying customers without going bankrupt.

I didn't know before, that Warpportal is that rich.

I don't complain about time and effort... that is the game... and it all was fun for me.

But getting kicked with a letter... which is obviously an order from Gravity... and again no communication from our DEVs and GMs... that feels like... they treat us like trash... just because of our nationality.

This is the official server! This is not any third world country with instable politics or economy... I thought I can trust you, warpportal!

Of course the worst is that we lose our friends and the community.

I love you all, guys!

And I will miss you.

And it is heartbreaking.

But I also feel scammed... I invested hundreds of $$$ ... or even more...

Knowing I have to leave the server in May...

- I would not have refined anything to +20... using so many Venurunes and Plutorunes... I bought them all in IM

- I would not have empowered my runes... using charged empowerment shards... all bought in IM

- I would not have bought 180 day premium for three accounts in January... and activated it in March, when the old one run out.

- I would not have bought all these mounts and carts.

- I would not have bought all the passive skills

- I would not have bought... the list could go on.

Saying we get refund for all we invested in February - April... is a JOKE!

If you don't need paying customers, then just be fair and refund all we invested into this game.

Its ridiculous, but i guess our staff team cant do much more but bringing the infos they recieve, but the lack of information is huge...id really like to know if they going to delete the accounts or if they only get blocked and maybe even work on bringing back the eu players one day ( if so u guys better rush...a lot people have left the game already and settle on other rose servers and games)

I know sharing accounts is not supported, but there will definitely be non european players affected by this also, who for example got a friends accoutn back then who quit, and on which they now have completely geared chars.

And what about the accounts that r not created in the EU but also got played by EU players...yes again its not allowed but we all know this is happening.

Anyway this is definitely sad, and imo this will give the game the final cut..but who am i to still bother since i get blocked anyway lol

Oh and did I already say how much I love the irony in "thank you for your patience" which we got to read for years now?! .....you're welcome guys ...

I agree on this, if we would have known your policy from the start no european would have started playing here, this is actually very racist, if not the definition of racism!

European is not a race, it's a nationality. Unless you're under the impression that everyone in Europe is the same race/ethnicity, which would make you ignorant beyond belief. Slandering or in this case libel, a company because you don't understand the politics of international operations also doesn't help.

The EU passed the law, America and the rest of the world never agreed to it. The rest of the world has the right, and is under NO obligation, to uphold the EU's laws. To claim they should abide by YOUR laws because of any reason, is to demonstrate precisely why America was founded, to escape the tyrannical rule and imposition of laws that not everyone agree's with.

It's an EU problem, and it requires either an EU solution, or acceptance that this is the bed you made, and now you have to sleep in it. It's not always nice, but getting all hopped up and entitled isn't going to do anyone any favors. Wait for the answers, propose solutions, wait for more results and continue the cycle until you're either happy with the result, or come to the conclusion it's no longer worth it.

Actually, if you take a look at Snuwfer's comment on "European Player Ban" he blatantly points out how WarpPortal is close to bankruptcy, they can't afford to do this, they just don't want to deal with the new Eu's law.

The question I want to know is what would Gravity have to do in order to comply with the GDPR, and why haven't they/weren't they able to do it?

From my understanding

-Stop collecting personal data via all methods

-Delete all previously collected data via all methods

-Block access from the EU as to prevent unknowingly collecting any personal data from EU Citizens.

or

-Hire a data security officer who's sole job is to over-see, and investigate how all personal data on EU citizens is being handled, secured, and distributed.

-Notify any EU citizen any and every time they distribute personal data [after clearing it with the officer] and with the permission of the EU Citizen

-Only collect the personal data allowed by the law
-Audit all previously collected and stored data to check for compliance

etc

There's most definitely a LOT more to it than just that, but that's everything I've been able to figure out after looking into it a fair bit. The process is quite expensive, and requires constant cost as the personel they have to hire are permanent, not jsut a temporary one time thing.
It also opens them up to audits and inspections at the EU's discretion.

The moment has arrived, the last batch of true EU roserians getting excluded from the game. Then we still have asia and north/south america, yet they will suffer from this after the 25th of may and will result in many giving up in the end.
The companies value shrinking. No answers are given. Players leaving. The games population is decreasing alot as we speak.

Normally i hate being all statistically but it is kind of clear, we cannot deny and run from it at this point.

- Is this the intention of gravity to have an easy way out? do you like throwing in your own windows as company?

- Aren't you able as company to cover the costs to comply is that it?

- You dont want different treatment amongst the players?

- Are you scared of the outcome of these new laws as company and afraid of being sued if anything might happen whenever getting hacked or something leaks?

- Is it pride knowing the EU would change these laws which was announced in 2016? And not willing to comply to the new european law?

- Are you aware some lawsuits might happen that european players will submit?

- Taking it for granted by saying you only do refunds from the european purchases during the period febuary - may, or aren't you able as company to financially back it up, without going bankrupt?

- What will you do to make the game more attractive for north/south america and asians after this big loss?

I'm sorry i hate to be so negative but i can't be postive about this situation.
I do believe in karma, this won't result into a bright future for gravity.

I do would like to thank each and everyone for the fun i had ingame, meeting amazing people/friends, all of that. I cherish that.

Since you are locking all the EU accounts or whatever you are going to do.  Can you unlock all item or at least Item Mall items so they can be traded say for a week?

Since all warpportal games are in the same boat, I just read the threads about kicking EU players on the other warpportalgame forums.

Very interesting... you should read there.

And we should stand together with them all.

Edit:

Not all players read on forums. Some Players are on vacations or on a short break. And even they are on a long break... we all know, that they all are going to come back to ROSE  from time to time. ROSE is a game we all love.

How are you going to inform all EU players about the fact you are going to block them all.

Just be fair and send emails to all of them.... maybe they want to log and say good bye... or meet their friends for a last time... or just enjoy the game for a last time.

I agree. I think it is important to notify all the involved players whether they're actively playing or not, coz it's true that some players log in from time to time and maybe they don't know about the situation in warpportal yet. At least do this for the players though! I really hope they do it.

Enjoy your archaic regulations that allow companies to sell your information to third parties with no control what so ever.

Oh and btw dont even attempt to use the card that america is about freedom cuz everyone with minor knowledge about history knows how much of a joke that statement is.
And if you wanna talk about tyranical rules go ahead look at your inmigration policies or the treatment your country has with cuba.

Well for one, a company can only sell information you give them, and it's regulated at that. A company can't just up and sell your credit card information to another company and even if they did, what's the buying company going to do with that information? Steal your money from your bank and commit a crime? No, of course not. The information a company wants to buy are things like how old you are, what are you general interests in products and media, how likely are you to click on an advertisement, etc. In fact, the buying and selling of consumer information in America is regulated actively and strictly, if you don't believe that, then you must have missed FB's CEO getting summoned to Congress over the matter. And I don't know about you, but a company knowing I like to play video games, don't ever click on any ads [because I never see them thanks to ad blocker], have certain political leanings etc isn't a big deal, and if fact makes things less likely to show up that I don't like.. Hell, there's a census that gives more information than that, and it passes around what, every 10 years? And all of that doesn't include the fact that every government has registration and information records on every citizen for their country to begin with that is much more identifying than ad click ratios...

Point is, information security is a highly complex and heavily regulated issue that isn't taken lightly in any first world country, but that doesn't mean that the US MUST agree with and abide by the EU's method of managing information.

As for the whole freedom thing, at least we're not dragging comedians through court trials for years on end over making a joke, and another perfect example of freedom: we're free to not comply with the EU's demands.

But whatever. Another case of someone getting all up in arms because America won't do what their country tells them to do. The EU made the law, if that's what the EU and it's citizens want, then fine, no one is going to try to change your laws for you, or try to change your mind. But that doesn't mean the rest of the world is obligated to still provide their services AND meet your demands of how to provide them.

Why even pay attention to these pro warpportal people, they think they invented the wagonwheel and are just delusional lol. Don't give this wannabe dumbledore who claims to know it all cheese to reply on though.

I agree it's a EU decision and they aren't forced to comply. But when so many customers are from the EU it's not so smart to refuse complying and cut off such a great money source.

What warpportal should do now is handing out a bit more information so the players know where they stand. Instead of being so blurred and secrative.

(Those who think nothing will change on the 25th of may are very delusional or you don't want to see the bigger picture, but ohhh you will see it dont worry lol)

I played irose for a long time, and then when he close i play eurose who  close too...

Disgusting by the time spend for Nothing i sweat that i never ever played a gravity game...

Then 4 week ago, i talk with my little boy, that ask me, what game do u prefer when u were Young? So i tell him about rose, and tell him i try to show him what it was.

I found narose, and just start to play with him since 3 weeks, just understanding a little new maps, new skills, etc

And now that...

I just dont understand, just for economic reason, u prefer let us die, instead of let us play...

Utopian i believed, that the more players u have, the more the game is alive...

Not for u as i see...

** i think is EU problem that they have implement this state , also i think gravity could just buy the license from EU in term of let us playing , i have played this game from begining is closed beta i never get bored , i become so good that i love playing , right now they pissed me off .... if they told us now 12year ago that this server will block us for sure i get off and start new server at the time , i don't care about refound , they shold refound us from begining , because me as many of us once/2 or 3rd time have payed real money for getting items but not in past 2/3month ....

im from israel .. is my country part of the EU blocking countries ?

** The main legal ties between Israel and the EU are set by the 1995 Association Agreement.[1] Several other agreements cover sectoral issues.

YES is part of EU in term of WIkipedia
