International Pride Loading Screen Contest

July 9 to August 13, 2018

 

Many countries celebrate their independence during the summer months. Players from countries around the world unite together in our Kingdom of Rune-Midgarts, and in this Loading Screen Contest we invite you to merge the world of Ragnarok 2 with your real world. Through original art or edited screenshots, show us how you celebrate your country's history. Represent your country through flag, color use, or other patriotic imagery.

Entries will be accepted from July 9 to August 13, 2018.
 
Entry Instructions
 
Format: 1920 x 1080 .JPG

 

Edited screenshot, traditional media or digital software drawings. Content from RO2 screenshots or concept art may be used.
 
Winners
 
Winners will be chosen based on the quality, thoughtfulness, and celebratory feel. Multiple winners will be chosen, and final count will be determined by number of entries received.

 

Winners will receive:

1x Cape of Unity, 3 slot, special purple slot version.

In addition to participation prize.

 

Note: A limited number of Grand Prize Winners will be selected. Runner-up images may be featured on social media or used in game. 

 

Participation
 
Each participant will receive 2x Tentacle Trunk prize boxes. To qualify for the participation award, you must submit artwork that meets the rules outlined below, is high quality, and shows effort. Minimally edited screenshots will NOT qualify for rewards. 
 
Rules
 

OK: Drawings you have created with traditional media or digital software are acceptable. Including content from R02 screenshots in game that you have edited is allowed. 3D renders you have created are also okay if the work is entirely your own creation. Any media that can be presented in a format that fits the required dimensions is acceptable as long as it is your own work.

 

NOT OK: Any artwork taken from another artist or from media you do not have rights to is not allowed. If you did not draw it, render it, or screen cap it from the game, don’t include it. This extends to backgrounds, wallpapers, 3D renders, and screenshots from other media. Do not include content you have found on google, deviant art, or other sources you do not have rights to, even if you credit the source. The entry must be 100% your own work, with the exception of in game screenshots you've taken.

 

Entries violating the rules will be disqualified. Entries using artwork that is not their own will be tortured by Idun.

and who does not have the skills to edit or draw? Are they going to have to pay for some artist? what's next, power 50 ? Armor 30 ? LOL

if you want to give a good prize, why not swag 3s, power 40, armor 25 ? something possible for other players.

It is our goal to continue releasing new accessories and continue improving upon the Purple Runehole system. However, if there is genuine dislike of the prize offered I'll gladly discuss the idea of changing it with the Squids. I'll post an update tomorrow if changes are made.

Let me share with you a little of my country's history. 

I decided to take the screenshot in the Odin's church because it is very similar to the Parish where everything started.

 

The parish of Nuestra Señora de Dolores was founded 306 years ago, now considered a religious and historical site, was the place where the early morning of September 16, 1810 the priest Miguel Hidalgo y Costilla summoned the people to undertake the struggle for the liberation of the New Spain.

 

El Grito de Dolores is considered the act with which the Mexican War of Independence begins.

The country celebrates this event every year, on September 15 at dawn (11:00 pm) we gather in different parts of the country to commemorate "El Grito" with chimes and a short speech by the president:

Long live Morelos!

Viva Josefa Ortiz de Domínguez!

In Japan, the day is commemorated when the US troops finally left the country, known as the "Ilumination Day". It's like the Japanese celebrate their "independence".

 

 

I would have liked to prepare something more elaborate in time, but I could not. It's my way of honoring my family roots.
