You aren't using the best gears to auto attack with Ranger though.

Any set up could win of these gears. I think people are more interested to know if its worth it to break the set ups including FAW Fatal 10 Petal, Temporal Luk Boots and others stuffs to use a Battle Surcoat.

My ranger is an AS build and i dont have high crit gear, so this is the best i can give. Someone else with optimum crit gear has to test it then.

RTB consumes 3 arrows tho :T it will lower the amount of hits within 1000 arrows significantly

Using +7 Surcoat so 25% change of RTB proc. What are the odds it procs 3 times before I can actually land a Crushing Strike 

 

I actually thought I forgot to cast Crushing Strike for a while...

I've being using this garment for a couple of hours in Bio 5. My current setup of garments involves in 2 FAW with EA enchants. Why not another FAW with Fatal enchants instead of Battle Surcoat you would say?, here are the reasons:

 

• I would have to keep more track of my FAW garment switches making it a hassle.
• Equipment switch is not smooth, sometimes it doesn't work depending on how many equipment switches you do at the same time.
• If I need to switch or switch off immediately the Deviling garment, I could switch wrong and die because of it.

 

My evaluation:

   

It's decent for my setup because it provides me switch flexibility. Sometimes it behaves like casting dark claw and sometimes I don't see a reasonable damage improvement.

Now this is a good evaluation. I'd just like to ask how does RTB performs for you there.

The delay of RTB from having 1 dex has been reduced recently. When using a 100% crit gx (with no crit damage modifiers though), snake head and battle surcoat had almost the same dps.

But the whole point of getting a Battle Surcoat instead of Snake Hat is that you can use crit dmg modifiers on your hat. x) Or Eddga to increase your dps.

I don't think it was reduced recently, AGI plays a bigger role in reducing the delay (twice as much as DEX) and if you're auto-attacking you probably have a lot of agility. 

 

Too bad you can't enable/disable the RTB portion with some kind of combo or by controlling the refine level.

I remember people used to do something about disabling Sonic Blow from the RoR+RoFL combo by equipping a weapon with Injustice along with rings then unequipping the weapon. Was that bug fixed or is it just obsolete because of advanced RoR+RoFL? 

 

Not sure if there's anything that could be done, just throwing it out there for the more knowledgeable folks~

I restat my gx around week ago to have exactly 100 crit and saw snake head doing significantly more damage than battle surcoat. Two days ago i noticed alot of players put up selling and buying pub for the gear for around 1.2b zenny. Curious, i tested it again and the result had the surcoat and snake head having almost the same dps.

Boxtered some junk and somehow got this garment (was hoping for anothe dogtag to safekeep). Dumb garment took me 1.3B to upgrade to +9. Went ahead and tested it on my RK- was not disappointed.

It was every bit as bad as i imagined (hahahah). I think i lost quite a bit dps using this than FAW, even though it does give me DA for crush strike if i ever needed it (which is never).

Can i get my BSBs refunded for this junk please? Thanks
