I remembered the good old days on RO and I've seen a lot changing through the years that I haven't played seriously...
Now I wanted to know if it's worth to get back and if so, in which server should I play? I wanted to play in the least p2w if possible xD

I just started playing in late December and I've been enjoying it so far.
I know that Renewel / Chaos has the most players, but I play on RE:START / Odin.

Is restart still alive? I just entered there and there was only 169 people playing, I saw no merchant on Payon and then I got out e.e
Is it worth it to play restart being like that? e.e

It's really up to you. Depends on what you're looking to get out of the game.
I solo a lot, but appreciate the occational interactions with other players.

OT but i'm curious - if those servers are "illegal" then why aren't pserver admins being actively pursued by gravity/wp? why aren't their servers being forcibly closed?
on another note... i'm all for playing on officials, in fact i very much prefer official mechanics vs emulator mechanics. i'm also all for shutting down these "illegal" servers if it meant more players on officials, but i think gravity/wp should give the players some very good reasons to choose official over pservers.

Simple put, its too costly and time consuming to close a single server, considering you need legal advicing to sue them.
While pserver would just continue opening here and there since its relatively cheap and easy for them to do so.
