Ladies and Gentlemen welcome back to The Captain Sunbear Show!
This is a stream dedicated to Ragnarok Online Discussions and iRO Chaos Renewal .
The goal from the start was to show viewers from all corners of the RO Community and twitch what exactly went on in iRO. A lot of speculation, a lot of rumors, a lot of hearsay led me to believe the server was unplayable, so being the contrarian that I am I just HAD to come in and see how true it was. Long story short, best experience of my life. I know. I know. Not everyone agrees but it's about perspective.
The main idea behind all this is that we play only with what the iRO economy/market has to offer and what our gameplay experience from many many many (and I mean many) years have given us with all the classes. True, there are some classes that I have never played such was Warlock or Mechanic or Royal Guard, but the concept I want to show through all of this is the idea of research and understanding game mechanics. Hopefully they show that anyone can learn something from the bottom up.
We discuss patchnotes every stream after maintenance, talk about the state of the economy as well as answering all your inqueries about the server and about the stream (and why we do this) as well!
I hope to see you guys on stream, and I hope you enjoy the show.
These are the current days and hours I stream normally. If times change I will make a post about it.
Friday: Starting around 11 am ~ 12PM PST and ends around 1~2 PM PST.
Friday Night: Starting around 10 PM ending around 2 AM SAT
Saturday Night: Starting around 9 PM ending around 2 AM Sun
Previous Series in Hiatus:
Zeroes 2 Heroes.
In this series a friend and I start from 1/1 Novice and we make our way through acolyte/swordsman all the way to Rune Knight/Archbishop. We use no outside help and we make do with our knowledge of the server and discuss strategy along the way.
The purpose of this show is to demonstrate we don't need high end gears to start a new character and provide a visual of what the early struggles are like. It is all meant to show that the game can be fun without relying on cash shop gears but with the content provided within the game.
The Adventures of Cadet Sunnycub:
This is pretty much a series about a novice leveling up to super novice and the struggles that this class encounters. The intention is to get all the way to 160 using in-game resources and only obtaining cash shop gears from players who sell them. Having played Ragnarok Online since around the beginning I have a very good idea about all the classes in the game.
The catch is..I have never played Super Novice. Ever.
Current Level: 134/33
Gears obtained so far thanks to our understanding of the economy and Refine events and more!
"Not Another Non-p2w Adventure"
We are currently debating which should be the next character to be played on stream and demonstrate our ability to get through iRO by relying only on the current state of the economy and we are also living in a post-ragial world.
