If they do that, why do we even buy OCP and over upgrade gears? Surely its not for PvM and WOE only.

To be honest PvP is less gear intensive than WoE since no added redux and everyone one shots one another in many ways already even pre ocp pre bio5 most specially when they released the 175 slaughterfest mode when some skills went through the roof (NL AS, DC RC, TC, DB etc etc)

Not to mention no actual shared goal which will count everyone's gears and skills to the last refinement

If there is anything crucial in pvp it is net connection lol, I vote for faster connection here in the other side of pacific

Why is the resistance to do this? There's no point resisting a merger.

Not much increase most likely, we are like 2, 3 years old vs yer server thas been here for like forever

I would like to see a more active WoE scenario for a long time. if will be a merge, I suggest the staff to do it quickly before the population goes down even more. I would like to play in a big crowded scenario again. Probable I would die fast, but i will be glad to come back fast to the action, istead wandering on empty castles

I am always serious even it doesn’t appear so. Last time me and few people said no to Xmas event, then see what iRO has turned out to be xD

Now you and I don’t even actively play the game and many people have moved to that known private server. Fair enough lol

I would like to suggest a new event that may make PVP attractive, even though I am not a PVP fan. 

 

PVP Event: A Daily Quest ( 23 hours Cooldown)

Item(s) (Consumed): 50 PVP tokens which drop like Monster Tokens.

Base Level: 90-99, 100-110, ... , 160-170 ,170-175.

Rewards: items and zeny

 

A player pays 50 PVP tokens to enter the event area. Inside the event area, there are waiting rooms which randomly select 2 players to do 1on1 PVP. Before entering the waiting room, Player is forced to use only PVP event gears that an NPC provides. This would make a fair duel. The waiting players should be able to see PVP arena while waiting. The PVP round should take 1 minute and the Winner is the player who has higher HP% (Like Street Fighter rule).

There should be a waiting room for 5on5 PVP (Party PVP) too.

 

If someone makes you angry, you can say "Wanna PVP me, BRO!!". Accordingly, no one will say it's wasting time. For a new player like me, I feel no reason to go PVP because I don't have good enough gears and I get nothing from PVP. If this event happens, I want to join it. At least, I have a chance to win and get the rewards(or just have some fun).

And this is why IRO is failing. WP needs to stop dividing it's resources between 2 basically dying servers and attempt to salvage the mess they created.
