So don't tell me they will nerf it? The damage formula of Throw Spirit Sphere clearly shows 1400% same as Brandish Spear.

Hope it will be delivered as intended because its supposed to be balance. If it is going to be nerfed then rebalance is a fail.


They buffed fist size penalty and made gfist 100% stronger. Also if you use root on monster, TSS will deal 50%more damage. Seems like a buff to me.

I know both and tested it it was working, what I'm saying is the damage of TSS to 1400% from 300% is not working like that, seems its only increased to 450% in Sakray.

 

So is brandish spear from 300 should go to 1400%.

I think gfist 100% bonus dmg shouldn't work in RT since monk can't have 6 spirit sphere.

If you want to reverse engineer any skill to check if their damage multipliers are correct, use Santa Porings as targets since they have 0/0 def

I know both and tested it it was working, what I'm saying is the damage of TSS to 1400% from 300% is not working like that, seems its only increased to 450% in Sakray.

 

So is brandish spear from 300 should go to 1400%.

pretty sure brandish and TSS are doing a lot of damage on Sakray

TSS already did quite a lot of damage before, but it needed to consume all spheres for that.

Wich is what is weird to me when reading the fan translations of the changes, that the skill damage is improved to 1600%, when that would be a nerf over the current max damage achievable.

Please check the monk skill "Throw Spirit Sphere" as I tested it and compared from current server damage VS sakray, in sakray it seems it only boosted the damage to like 30% which is not accurate per new update the skill formula which is suppose to be (600 + (200 x skill level))%Atk

Currently this skill deals 350%atk at level 5. So if the new formula will be 1600% ATK at skill level 5. Then the current damage should be increased by at least 4 times which is not the case.

Please review.

The cast time on TSS is reduced and it uses 1 sphere instead of 5

Please consider the following in regards to the new skill updates:

  • Currently the new adjustments do not have their descriptions updated
  • No "buff" icons or indicators showing certain statuses are active (such as the case with performer songs)
  • Gypsy's Kiss will be severely nerfed: can we at least get solo performers to scale with stats or somehow make the "use less sp" percentage greater? We do not have scholars yet to soul exhale, and it renders dancer class nearly useless if they can't provide decent sp reduction anymore. Many new skills also take more SP to cast, which is going to be very difficult in the pre-trans environment.
  • If no changes to GK can be made, can we at least get more options for SP recovery? Maybe add mental potion back into the Kafra Shop? Or maybe allow blue herb seller NPC as a zeny sink?
  • Looks like Alchemist gets no brewing buff, but Blacksmith gets weapon enchants. What can be done about this? There used to be a custom change on one of the iRO servers that made potions weigh less if brewed, can we get that back?

Str factor exists in RT Sakray at least from testing. BTW I only have a rough value.

So at 90str its 1940%? So this really going to be more like 3-4 times buffed now.

what is "BETTER" in your standards?

Brandish Spear is Spear exclusive.

Its AOE range is like Overbrand.. front facing, a bit wider but shorter.

Bowling Bash works Swords, Maces, Knives, Spears and even Bows i think.
AOE is tiny 3x3.

Given that info, does that mean that BB now doesn't hold a candle against Brandish in RT? aside from having  the BB gears?

Depending on the STR factor and availability of long range damage mods, BB may still out damage it based on the quantity of monsters in the mob since it does extra hits based on that. 

 

Also since it's melee, works with stuff like earth deleter -- which isn't too relevant to Chaos, but will likely matter more on Transcendence.

I am comparing my test results with the "kro: mass skills balance" correct me if it is another feature that we are receiving. I spent some time testing the ensemble skills, which gave me a lot of frustration. 

 

1) All the ensemble skills have a grotesque fixed cast.

 

2) None of them shows in the sidebar whether the buff/debuff is active or not.

 

3) The distance between the artists to be able to use the ensenbles is only 9x9 cells around the user (4 cells to the side in a straight line), which in this case should be the area of ​​effect of the offensive songs, and not the distance between the dancer and bard, which should be a distance of 19x19 (9 cells in a straight line).

 

4) Encore isn't working with ensemble skills.

9 cell distance for ensembles is way too far lol

 

I believe when we tested ensembles they did not require the other performer to have the skill for you to use it, is this intended?
