What would make an event good in your opinion?

 

If we simplify everything that happens in this game, almost every quest is killing a monster, turning in loot from killed monsters, or reaching a destination. Once in a while a quest involves taming a monster. Every event will have quests that require one or more of those.

We are opening now. We confirmed that you can do all 4 daily quests and receive the final reward. Castle flags are working and the guild storage has returned with the increased limits.

They're not cross-checking against the current list of enchantable costumes. They're just moving down the list based on costume slot(s) and item ID (ascending). Though I disagree with it, I understand why: It's a bit more simple from a database management standpoint. The DB admin runs a query that looks for:

• costumes that take up X slot(s) (they're going through all Lower costumes now)
• with ID between Y and Z
• first 50 entries

then injects the value that makes them enchantable.

 

Sure, the query could instead include one more condition:

• costumes that take up X slot(s)
• with ID between Y and Z
• and enchantable=0
• first 50 entries

Sometimes, however, simplicity is recommended for avoiding a potential mistake. Put another way, they are approaching this in an exhaustive/thorough manner, rather than efficient manner. Sometimes I do that during work, when I work on something with which I have no prior experience. It takes a lot more time, but I don't overlook anything.

 

On the bright side, not all costumes on the list were already enchantable; for example, Costume Protective Scarf.

There unfortunately is no DB flag that we can search to see if it was pre added to the list and the list is in order of added by time. So the best way we found to make sure we do every single costume we possibly can is to do this method and just go through a chunk every week.

Oh, right, I forgot that the enchantable flag is in the game files, not in a database. In that case, I don't see another way that would be more efficient while also ensuring all costumes become enchantable. Thanks for the insight.

He is mid left side of Yuno. Pretty much you do the 4 daily quests then he gives you a costume when he realizes the event isn't as bad as he thought.

There is an error with the ragexe patch update, failed to patch. I' ll reinstall i guess no worries.

I'm having the same issue - a dialog box pops up after the launcher idles a bit, it says "EAC Error 10011" Failed to launch game' or something to that effect. I've already posted in the bugs thread, hopefully there's a way to fix this! >_<

The items given randomly from the quest are actual head gears and not costumes. at least for me
