Why Server Down so Frequently Now?

How much longer are we still going to suffer from frequent disconnection please? You really cannot do anything without your kRO daddy?

Did you hear anything back from your KRO daddy regarding the disconnection issue?

 

I really don't mind you guys destroying your server physically so you don't have to worry about the disconnection issue anymore.

I'll leave this here instead of starting an other thread about it, since this seems to be the most hit.

 

1. Server recognizes my login.

 

2. Logging in immediately disconnects.

 

3. Repeat step 1 & 2.

 

This seems to occur at about the same time in the late afternoon and into the evening.

I have tried like 100 times and finally logged in, but shouldn't a normal server only need me to type in my credentials once xD?

FYI, just found out TWRO had a player duplicated 50,000 skill reset bar through making lags/dcs and got sued back in 2013, similar to what has been reported here.

WP better check what is going on if they want to sell more cash shop items


Isn’t it ironic how the one person defending the duper openly talks like someone who maybe from Taiwan or has a username like it?

i thought payon field 4 was fixed , oh how wrong i was . My archer got stuck there . i wonder when they will fix this problem .

tbh someone crashing the server would be better at this point, if it crashes then it would restart and we could use it again. Currently it is just lagging so bad that it is in a freeze and we can't connect and it won't restart x-x

Other games have fought dupers and cheaters by making things become character or account bound.  Or the manufactured item has only one layer of propagation such as when someone crafts a gear.  Sure, they can dupe it, but the duped items can only propagate one more level to a buyer.  That buyer cannot resell that item to another buyer, thus duped items have a limited effect on the entire economy as a whole.  This is in stark contrast to Ragnarok Online where a duped item can propagate an infinite number of layers through the economy as it moves from person to person to yet another person.  Thus a duped item from 2008 can continue to exist all the way to 2023 after passing through the hands of 10 or more different characters who used it. 

 

RO made a system that honest people liked and was accurate as a simulation of real world items which persist and can move from person to person.  But that is a High Trust system.  In a Low Trust system where numerous dupers (counterfeiters) exist and thrive, it becomes necessary to limit the negative effects of dupers by locking down items to one level of propagation is necssary.

There used to be GMs like Campitor who would deal with the duplicated items and ban the dupers. Nowadays this is no longer the case, that's why the dupers are more and more greedy

This would kill the game. The main reason mobile RO died was because people couldn't RMT or make money out of the game. I dont mind having everything account bound but you sure can see the game closure in few weeks.

They don't know how to fix it. They've performed 3 emergency maints and those popular maps are still crashing after about 3 hours.

 

@GM Poring,

I recommend reducing the floor item lifetime to just 30 secs instead of minutes.

Clear out your server cached.

Temporary disable homunculus since players have reported: Missing skills, disconnection problems while having homunculus out, monsters and players are not loading while homun is summoned.

Cause dupers in order to dupe needs to crash the map, that's why.

And since warp portal gm are incompetents those cheaters will never be banned making the server forever be cursed.
