iRO incorrectly has ATTACK_MOTION_TIME_TERM in RO.inf set to a value higher than 50 (kRO's setting) which results in less skill casts per second than expected. Here are test results on an AEGIS server (special thanks to Dia from https://divine-pride.net for providing this)

After updating the game, I'm getting these errors:

This is due to the Directx9 update. You have to disable the Directx9 in the SetUp and put Directx7. And yeah, I can't play the game with the Directx9 and have to play it with the 7 version. Is it possible to do anything to help me to play with the Directx9?

Changed the setting to DX7 and the game indeed worked again. Went back to DX9 and the errors returned.

My gosh... Uninstall the game to reinstall it? Urgh... There must be a solution simpler than that. It would be a god idea if the CM's give a solution to this.

thank you for sharing what you encounter with the directx9 , after im done patching the client i close it right away and open the set up there its already selected to directx9 but i change it back to dx7, i dont need smooth graphics i just wanted to play when i get back from work...

Here are some suggestions to give to the team:

 

Bounty Board updates for Illusion Dungeons

Please finish adding the bounty boards to the Illusion Dungeons. For example we have the Bounty Board NPC for Illusion Moonlight, Vampire, and Frozen. We could use the 150 kill quests for Illusion Turtle, Teddy Bear, and Luanda

Should be able to copy the NPCs to the new maps and update to the correct monsters and exp rewards.

This would help the leveling process for 150 - 175 which is a bit lacking and actually slower than 180 - 200.

 

Holiday Event leftovers

There are a lot of holiday leftovers remaining on the server. For example, I saw Halloween NPCs doing the trick or treat thing in Prontera and other cities. Peco Peco are still set to Thanksgiving. Geffen still has melons from the melon festival. Just some things to have the team double check.

 

Grandma Boxter updates

Grandma Boxter (moc_paraup 26, 174) on Eden 2nd floor - This NPC needs periodic updates to the OCP list exchange. This should actually promote more OCP sales since it allows people to gamble a second time while using up all the excess and unwanted rewards. I know this is a popular suggestions often brought up.

 

Dealing with scammers and large sum of zeny

Because of the max integer of 2,147,483,647 making it impossible for holding or trading billions of zeny, there could be use for a token system to be used as another form of currency. For example: an NPC could be created that sells a new token that is stackable for 500m zeny and this token could be sold back for the same price that was paid *merchant OC and DC would need to be disabled for this to work*. This would allow players with a lot of zeny to convert to these stackable tokens and then complete trades for rare items much easier. This would also cut down on scamming since trade could be done in a single trade instance, rather than multiple, thus freeing up GM's time so they wouldn't have to monitor and police large trades. Most scamming could be eliminated and time could be focused on going after dupers and bots.

Dang, even though DX9 is ANCIENT, finally the game runs smooth.

Makes you wonder though, why didn't gravity go for something MODERN like DX12 or Vulkan?

 

You still have to use /skip though for a truly smooth experience.

Unless gravity wants to add dx10+ features (from the top of my head: tessellations, ray tracing, advanced shaders)
It won't do much without completely changing the look of the game.

Compatibility with other OS is better though so if they ever change APIs again vulkan would be preferable

please make a uniform
Pet feeding and loyalty point system. still my pet cat o ninetails and mastering is very hard to feed for loyalty points. its not adding points well i dont know if it adds but it take me hours to feed it still at 1%? maybe?it has been weeks of feeding

All evolved pets are like that. They take 20-25 minutes to be able to be fed, and their intimacy increases only by 1 point per feeding. It takes around a month of constant feeding and going online to get to loyal.

Please restore character slot back to 15.

 

I can't come up with any good reason limiting character to 9.

 

Player to create alternate account to accommodate the extra character.

 

This will burden the server and unnecessary creating problem for player and WP.

Does anyone has issues with Savage Impact and Charge Attack? 

 

Those skills will frequently cause positioning issues which you need to go logout and login to resolve. 

 

Your screen will be fixed to a position, while your character can move. However, anything outside of that screen-sight will be froze. After moving out of that screen-sight, the character will be pulled back to the bugged location. Any monsters in the froze screen-sight act normally, you can kill them. 

 

Not seeing anyone is reporting that, but this bug makes those 2 skills useless... and the skills are so useful in daily gameplay.
