Hardware maintenances will solely consist of IT tasks required to continue smooth operation of the game. We will be alternating between Hardware Maintenance and Update Maintenance from week to week unless specified otherwise.

Dear GM,

 

I cannot access my laptop windows 7 and windows 10 due to EAC client. Is there problem on server? I cannot play 2-3 days now. I did reinstall client and delete old gravity ragnarok files but problem still eac. something wrong about eac client.

Users with windows 7, 10 and even 11 are having issues now that you updated EAC. Can you make your game accessible for all? We've experience many errors while we're playing, some people can't play at all... And some are even getting the blue death screen issue when they're trying to login.
Fix this as soon as possible, please.

Greetings I fixed the game so that everyone can access it, I have Windows 7 and I haven't been able to play it for 3 days because it is not compatible, many people play Ragnarok online because they don't have high-end computers, with Windows 10-11 there is a lot of lag and errors with the game, with each login there are fewer players online :

Hi, I have windows 11 and it's been 4 days since the last time I could log in. Everytime I try to open my client, EAC shows me an error message and then I get a blue death screen, so my computer is forced to restart. I've already tried different options, like reinstalling EAC, uninstalling my antivirus and I even formated my laptop and I still have the same issue.

 

I hope you can fix it soon, because there are many players like me who can't play either.

Remember iRO users, there is 2 ways to log in into the game (well the most common), Steam (wich is usally more slow), or the downloadable executable client.

 

Either way remember to always have up to date the direct x runtimes, and the microsoft visual c++ redistributables packages both x86 and x64.

 

Also do not forget to mark all executables to run as administrator, and how is that you ask? Right click on desired executable -> Properties -> Compatibility -> Change the configuration for all users (the one with a shield icon)

 

And do not forget that this new executables are new, so if you have any AVirus, AMalware, etc, check for trust issues.

 

So if everything goes well, it will work, or I hope so, well x64 processors are more widely used nowadays, so if you are still using an x86 that could mean something else, so check around more.

Can you remove EAC and have manual bot hunters instead? It often crashes the game weirdly. Leaves it hanging in the background, not allowing a new client to be opened with error 32. Task manager does not want to close it. Only way to bypass it is to restart the whole computer. And once I got a blue sceen when opening the game. No other game behaves this way.

 

I know I'd volunteer to hunt for cheaters 12 hours a day with minimal wage. Would allow the game to open up faster as well if there's no EAC loading up or slowing things down in the background.

The process of completely quitting the game EAC included, it usally hangs in memory for a while(plus depending on hardware), and if you try to run it inmediately will crash and display such error, hang on, or if you are in a hurry, close windows session, is more efficient and quick than a restart, for the ocassion.

 

Use a third party tasks manager or the perfmon.exe integrated on Windows 10/11, I do not know if it is available in 7, to Terminate the processes. Plus end tasks performed in background by bloatware installed in 10 and 11, or use programs such as O&O Shutup 10 or Win10 Privacy, but be careful what you are doing with such tools, read the instructions and alerts.

 

Also if you are on low end PC, bear in mind that the game loads a lot of images, and not so many 3d graphics, and SSD upgrade should come in handy.

Oh and one more thing, if you are using Windows 7/10/11, use the Professionals Editions or above, the "Standard" is not so helpful/handy when it comes to user friendly performance.

Those OS are now deprecated by Microsoft, people using win10 x86 version its a flipcoin with EAC and users with win10/11 x64 could have different errors based on what EAC is conflicting with, here is some of the things you can do to try to fix the issues:
 

- Reinstall EAC
- Uninstall AntiVirus
- Check outdated drivers
- Uninstall other game that uses other anticheats like Vanguard, BattleEye, Nprotect, etc.
- Update your Bios
- Format your windows
- Install windows to its latest patch
- Do not disable signed drivers in windows
- Do not use windows activators for pirated versions

This is all on the game publisher for listening to all the trolls about bots, imagine thinking this game is bot infested when in clock_01 the 90% of players are using AFK gear and when kRO, idRO, thRO and others officials have a popular tool with a public github working but iRO does not.

I dont know if this is a corporate decision like the recent idRO and thRO anti cheat updates or if its all due to listening to a minority of forum trolls, but you guys once again reduced the server population and shot yourself in the foot and dont even try to think to use Nprotect or the server will be in the same state as kRO which is really a bost infestation. Just stop touching stuff that goes beyond your heads, you are a game publisher, barely the game devs, not infosec guys. Take care of your player base before its reduced to 1K only.

Is Warpportal improving the game by making players unable to connect?    

 

Please downgrade your EAC atleast, before last week's maintenance( Feb 6, 2025 ), thats when the trouble began

jRO has the final decisions here, as the game IP passed hands from South Korea to Japan.

 

Also the "local" markets has their decisions too in a not so better way, either way jRO and iRO share some likeness. It is very complicated.

 

And iRO aims or heads towards an international market, wich user base is world wide, compared to other servers mentioned.

 

But certainly, those using x86 PC's are doomed, such things has been around for decades in/for the gaming industry, one must cover the upcoming hardware "upgrade/renovation" at least for the game you are investing time in.

Well seems like a hardware problem here, I have used integrated graphics in a SFF desktop, and NVIDIA graphic drivers in other desktop, and some times BSOD comes from a faulty driver install by Windows 10/11 for any graphics, so keep in mind(carefully) that letting windows do the job is not the wisest thing.

 

And we know AAA games suffer too from BSOD's, and there are forums with posts reporting the issues, in their pages and from the graphic card manufacturers such as AMD and NVIDIA, is human error, and the fix(or hot fix) some times is quick or some times is slow baby(Ugly Sonic way).

 

Or comes in the way of an unpredicted complicateness, disguised as BIOS pending upgrade or by the same upgrade itself lol, faulty/old hardware, you name it, could be the most absurd thing you think.

 

Therefore EAC in this case, to prevent the use of "hacking tools" to cheat, alter the game behaviour is OK, why you ask? Well is common sense to improve awarness and shielding from cyber attacks, and other malicious intents from nasty people.

 

The old Ragnarok we knew is far from gone xD, and has evolved thorough this years, implementing  new stuff, new systems, the so mentioned RE and PRE-RE wars, so arguing for a thing like this is simply throwing kicks and fists in the air. The world has changed while you were asleep.

 

Solving the problems(any but in this case is graphic and/or common driver issues) should be handled by a professional, if the player is not commonly to solve things like this, or watch a comprehensive tutorial on how to safetely uninstall and install graphic drivers, because "Standard" Windows users have it hard to make the fix, use a "Professional/Pro" version or above (highly recommended)

I'll join the side with positive experience. Ever since the new EAC update (the one with RO loading screen), the client has improved its stability 100x and I'm not even exaggerating. Previously, the usual error message could appear up to, in worst case, once or even multiple times per minute (in some patches it's less, but still terrible) especially in certain map servers (notably in Prontera and Eden Group). And again in some computers this error forced-closes the client (can't be ignored) and thus we need to relaunch the game. It's so annoying.

 

With the new EAC, I experienced error only twice in daysss (and these happened when I tried to open other apps which may be graphic intensive).

 

Not sure if it matters, but I never edited game files (no grf editing etc.), or ever tried to block or bypass EAC.

 

So please, keep the new EAC. It's a huge QoL improvement. Whatever you do in future patches, don't screw this up!!!

Same i wonder why, i only had problems with windows 11 24h2, but never with the older versions, and with windows 10 it runs very well, at least for me.
