Nice to see many people complains about the new EAC. NOW we know who the bots are lol

Every Windows 7 or outdate, non suitable OS version users, should or in this a case of issues, must known what will happen in the upcoming game updates, that the playability will crash due to not correctly upgrading to new (not the top notch and fancy) befitting software and/or hardware.

 

There is a plethora of games that change over time, including mmorpgs that in their young stages consumed less resources than today, and their players act accordingly to what fits for them(argue, be mad, change, quit, upgrade, etc).

 

It's evolution baby, and the progress can not be stopped in the wide area of technology, has happened to big companies like Apple, Samsung(to mention a few), with the first dropping x86 support and focus on what is more adaptable. Even their mobile OS has EOS(to be less TLDR), so do not come and debate over such thing like is the publisher fault, you had it coming, and did nothing to change.

For legit players, its a good opportunity to update your PC. Should be thanking WP tbh.

The patcher keeps giving me a message that says Game Violation error 34???  been playing since the game started no cheats hacks packet injections or botting programs ever, fix this crappy easy anti cheat please all my stuff is up to date and relatively new.  or it will say another launcher is running? literally nothing else but google running on my pc

The newest EAC update disables all power saving on my Win10 system. Monitor for example won't turn off anymore after inactivity if RO is open. Started right after the update, so it can't be a coincidence.

As mentioned earlier, as a PC user we are prone to software/hardware issues, make sure no other demanding video/graphic program is running, also editor for videos or photos/images, AVirus, AMalware be sure to add EAC o Game forlder as exclusion.

 

I have been running iRO on different hardware "ambients" (integrated intel graphics, nvidia dedicated graphics, intel/nvidia tegra soc graphics, intel processors from iX's old 2nd gen to 13th gen, AMD from Phenom to Ryzen 7 5XXX) and loading times varies, plus RAM has an important value here, 4 to 8 GB is no good today that old "standard" is bye bye now, upgrade to 12 to 16 GB, HDD is also a rusty implementation while playing, upgrade to SSD at least.

 

In addition, running the programs in laptops, notebooks also varies the behaviour of the EAC and iRO Client, compared to PC Dekstop which is usally more faster even on almost same hardware.

 

So I make sure nothing interferes while playing the game, the old EAC took time to load, now has improved for better but takes a little more time but is for good, and has a more stable playability than the previous version, but does not interferes with task like discord, spotify, web browser programs(keep it simply, use a less resource hungry one like GChrome)

 

Keep it as a reminder to verify everything is A OK with your OS and running programs (background and "foreground"), like what you ask? Well it is kinda simple, do not run/install/execute illegal versions of Operating Systems and software, and check the previously mentioned step.

i havent played in few months and i came back yesterday and it wont start the game and getting errors. is there any quick fix i can try. i have windows 8 and based on what i read it should be ok unless its window 7.

Check for EOS in that version of Windows 8 you are using, as far as I know there is the 8 and 8.1, but both reached their EOS by 2023 obviously the regluar costumer/user ones.

 

And... Windows 10 versions for the commoners is coming to an EOS too in coming days, but I do not know if some variants are ellegible for ESU(extended security updates).

 

Frankly W10 is better compared to 8/8.1, I suggest to upgrade to 10 if you have the ways to do it possible.

 

I did not upgraded to W11, since the previews launced by MS, I tought the GUI(graphic user interface) was a test/doodle, but hell no, they made the same mistake like in W8/8.1, it looks way too ugly, trying to be an OS X(Apple OS for laptops and desktops) look a like, instead of refreshing/revamping the same style and feeling. Plus you have to do so many unnecessary clicks to do the same in previous Windows versions(like 10, 7, 8/81.1 "so so", XP)

W10 shares almost the same hardware requirements as W8/8.1 but be sure to do some research, and if possible the best are: ram upgrades, hdd to sdd, since mentioned earlier, Ragnarok client loads heavy amounts of images, and other resources that interact in a client(us) server(they) way in a compressed format(*.grf).

 

Dedicated graphics are not mandatory, but helps to kick and punch better if you are doing other stuff while playing.
