yeah, my client from flinstones...

So..... I'm probably being incredibly thick, but I've tried to download the manual patch for update 439 (after it freezing at 47% on the updater) and it stops at the same place as the updater for mediafire (at 6.4 out of 6.8 mb) and doesn't start at all for the megaupload file..... I also don't usually have any manual patch problems - I downloaded and updated 437 using the manual patch and that worked fine. Any suggestions?

I did try step 4 and that didn't work either. I've also tried downloading from playrequiem.com but when I click on the zip file and rtp file links the webpage says 'unable to connect' (I've been on other websites as well so the problem isn't my internet connection either....)

Open your Version.dat file with notepad (you can find it at the Requiem folder) and post it here.

That may be the problem. Do this: place the patch 439 inside the Patches folder and then modify the UserPatchVersion (at the end of the line put 439 instead of 438). Then save the Version.dat and exit, then run the UpdaterUsa.exe

Warning, dont modify the UserGameVersion line or the game could get corrupted.

The updater started doing a file check, but now reads 'error CRC 439' and the Version.dat user patch has changed back to 00000438

Which windows do you have and in which folder do you have the game installed? Bcs if you have windows vista or seven and the game is isntalled in the program files folder, then maybe that is the problem: and could be solved by moving the installed game (dont need to reinstall) outside the program files folder.

About the error, be sure that the patch you download have the right size. If it have the right size then maybe the one i uploaded isnt working ok, but is the only one i have and upload it again probably wont help. If that is the case, then send a Personal Message to Sakana, asking for that patch.

(edited) also, that error is strange, did you place the file in rtp format? or is zipped? and, the Patches folder is empty or have something else?

I have Windows vista, but I installed the game outside of my program files folder. I've just checked the 00000439.RTP file downloaded from the updater, and it is the same size as the mediafire one (and the updater download also fails once the file reaches 6.47 mb). Thanks for the help though ^_^

That is strange, the file have 6.83 mb, something is failling when you download it. I tryed to download it and all went fine. I try to upload it with something else.

Hmmmmm...Same problem as the mediafire....and stops in the same place too....Though I now have a new message saying 'Download Error: 00000439.RTP.part could not be saved, because the source file could not be read.'
