Honestly forget the boxster. I'd rather be able to trade up x2 boxes for one of the other C rank items or kvms/etc. instead of opening up 4 new boxes to get 2-3 more scrolls to get one box with another scroll >.>;

So here is what I purpose:

Instead of the traditional boxter, you would be allowed to change any D class x2 for a C Class and any 3 C class for a B and any 4 A class for a S and so fourth. Or something along that line. The only reason I even suggest this, is that the boxes are at 400 or 500 KP each. Which is way above the norm. For that amount of KP I'd like some choice in what I got after buying X boxes.

I rarely ever remember to save/screeny them, so they aren't accurate. I got at least 12 Cancer Crown/Diadems because my shop is full and 8 Party Buff Packs. I did get 1 set of KVM badges, but I don't even like those so they're useless to me

I just hope the hats are vendable after the anniversary event so I can buy them. The Skull Cap and Little Feather Hat are all I wanted

If it were 4 x A = S, you'd see a lot of people (majority) getting the S every time within 20 or so boxes. Also without severely increasing requirements, the A/B items won't actually be rare as everyone will trade up for them and get what they want, devaluing these items greatly and causing a huge loss of profit for Gravity.

Would it be possible to have an NPC exchange the buff scrolls for, say, giant fly wing boxes? Since the boxes themselves are both 500 points, you wouldn't be losing any KP exchanging them. Or, two buff scroll packs for one giant fly wing box maybe? Idk.

Likely the number of brownie points needed will be 1700 for 1 Anniversary Box

The party scrolls will be worth their normal amount so turning in ~ 2 Boxes worth will get you 1 additional box, ditto for the cancerous items being 2:1 ratio.

This means that even if 40% (which it shouldn't be that high in reality) is party buffs with another 20% being one of the Cancers you could open 10 boxes and immediately turnin to recycler to get 3 more boxes. Considering you should only be paying 400pt per Box (from using the crates) that will increase the rate of getting the headgears up to ~ 20% per 10 boxes of getting 1 of those hats plus getting the other nice things too as bonuse. That is very close to the cost we would have to charge for those hats if we offered in the Kafra shop directly (non-tradable if sold in the Kafra shop).

When we calculate the value of items in by cost of the box and the probability of acquiring each item, you always win in the KP : Price ratio that is by design and the Boxter swings that ratio further into the buyers favor. We do it that way so no one has the heart break and following rage for spending $3 usd and getting Hat[0] as a white elephant prize, instead you spend $3 you get something that no matter what we value at $3 or higher (always higher).

Pretty sure not many of you will really care about the logic in designing these, but rather care about what swag comes out. The 1 example I came up with as a "test idea" was doing a 1800pt box that only had the top Headgears. Or a 1200pt box that had S A B prizes in it. After working out price and liklihood to even attempt to open any (based on prior experience) the 500pt with a very limited C D ratio was picked.

Pretty sure people would be happier with +Stat Foods over Buff Scrolls. Phase out the stuff the player base regards as garbage, and you'll find more happy players. More happy players would be more likely to continue to use the service, and could mean more money per player overall.

Pretty sure people would be happier with +Stat Foods over Buff Scrolls. Phase out the stuff the player base regards as garbage, and you'll find more happy players. More happy players would be more likely to continue to use the service, and could mean more money per player overall.

Problem with Heimdallr's soapbox isn't his logic or whathaveyou. I agree with him on that. Problem is how high of a value he regards 'party buff scrolls'. the vast majority of the playerbase is going to strongly disagree with him when he says you get your 500 point investment with every box so you come out ahead. Not true. I wouldn't even pay $1 for these crummy to use and arch bishop destroying scrolls. Let alone $5. Put stuff people want in there that is worth $5, like $5 worth of giant fly wings, perfect during this event.

Honestly the issue I see with trading up at that high of an amount is the fact that the box is 500 points. S Rank not available sure, or at say 12x+ of A Class imo. That would actually create more demand for boxes to get A items to get S class.

Thank you OP for making this thread. I was gonna buy some boxes after work today, clearly not gonna do that anymore lol.
I couldn't imagine how upset I'd be if I blew 50-100 bucks on party scrolls and Card Albums. Sorry to all the people out there who legit get screwed =\ I feel for ya.
