Correct. And as far as I know, you obtain insurance by producing with Grade 5 and 6 materials (it's a random chance of receiving some insurance), but not positive on that -- going off of vague information from IAH.
Do you have any idea how many of those grade materials you have to use to have a chance of obtaining? Also, does the type of materials used/gathered affect how fast the skills level? Wondering if I should just spam low level stuff.

Not sure, TBH. I've tried making insurance just using one each of Grades 5 and 6 materials, and haven't gotten any yet, so I assume that to have a decent chance at obtaining some you'll have to use more than that. WP's guide says "if a high number of Grade Lvl. 5-6 (insert material here) is used," you have a chance to get insurance, so it sounds like you probably need to use quite a few.
And yes, the type does affect how fast the skills level to some extent it seems, at least according to IAH. Someone over there tested it and found that processing two high-Grade materials got them the same amount of EXP as processing four or five low-Grade materials. However, it seems much faster to process low-Grade materials in terms of gaining skill EXP, at least according to that tester's results (probably b/c the amount of time required to process four or five Grade 1 materials is still less time than it takes to process one or more high-Grade materials). I haven't really been testing any of this myself, yet.

for example
if i was making Soul Expanders I'd need to use 13 grade 6 cherry woods to get 100% ins
i guess..
EDIT: yea Ins scrolls showed up after i put in 4 grade 6s and 10 grade 5s

How do you open up the 3 X'ed out slots in the processing machines? My processing is at 300 and it let me add 1 more machine for a max of 8.

ummm from what I've been told to get Ins scrolls you have to use all grade 5/6 mats
for example
if i was making Soul Expanders I'd need to use 13 grade 6 cherry woods to get 100% ins
i guess..
EDIT: yea Ins scrolls showed up after i put in 4 grade 6s and 10 grade 5s
Could you see the insurance scrolls in the boxes that are displayed before you crafted? I was preparing to make slippery oil and putting in all lvl 6 fish, and the only things it looks like I can get are two boxes with 100+ oils. Wondering if I need fish from higher gathering spots or if the insurance only show up when crafting certain things or for certain professions....

I've only been able to get ins scrolls to show up while making expanders, but since the new make costs I don't even think making ins is worth it anymore...
either x25/x35 grades 6s for 100% chance to make like 9ins scrolls...

I know that 11 skills cost around 30k in total. I also know that the 12th skill by itself costs around 48k.
So how much does *last* skill cost?
P.S. I'm aiming to have all the skills and be self-sufficient.

I heard the debuff is capped at 50%.
Does anyone know what happens if you randomize, reduce, or soulcraft exchange expanded stats Assuming it loses the expansion, but would like to know for sure.

If I can remember clearly, someone at IAH tested, it goes down 45%. Too lazy to look for the link. Lol.

yes, the debuff is capped at 50%.. i have a char that have 5 professions. it goes 100%, 95%, 85%, 50%, 50%

it keeps the expansion. i did random 1 of them.

the expanded stats should be 2.4 hlt, since its not % stats, it doesnt show.
