All the game settings in this file (resolution, etc.) get mixed into the inventory settings everytime we use the launcher o.O

It happens because of how GenPatch loads configuration files differently from the old launcher. The settings are still stored within their respective sections, only the ordering of the sections are different. Is there any reason why the launcher now messes up the content of Sevenhearts.ini?

Well this ordering is a bit weird, configuration sections are mixed with char inventory sections so the file starts with several char inventory sections, then only one configuration section, then several other char inventory sections, then again only one configuration section, etc. instead of just putting all the char inventory sections in the end of the file like it used to be lolIt happens because of how GenPatch loads configuration files differently from the old launcher. The settings are still stored within their respective sections, only the ordering of the sections are different.
Oh well whatever
A funny "fight" I've noticed:
The launcher adds a space after every "=" sign every time you launch it
But when you launch the game (Trose), it removes this space every time

It was something like: RRE.exe accountname genpatch pass 1234, right?

For the START button, change the Parameters text field to:Forgot how to use the HotButton, where you don't have to login but just click the button and it loggs in for you.
It was something like: RRE.exe accountname genpatch pass 1234, right?
--login --server {ip} --username Genesis --password mysecret
For the other launcher buttons, change the Location text field to:
TRose.exe --login --server {ip} --username Genesis --password mysecret

Here's where I'm having an issue.
ROSE working install + patched: Check
Installed GenFS : Check
Installed Sample plug-in + working : Check
Made adjustments to UI : Check
note: replicated all the same image extensions both .DDS and .TGA, no extensions were changed. or placements on the image map.
Make structured folder to replicate VFS : Check
Added to "mod.genfs" : Check
Placed in ROSE root directory [C:\Program Filesx86\Gravity\Rose Online\.." : Check
Added mod to GenPatch plug-in page using the following.
mod title :"mymod" enable : check update : not checked [not hosted] URL : empty files :"mymod.genfs"
Result = Displays sample mod of loading screen.
Nothing else happens.
Did I miss something?

I'm not sure that matters to be honest, when I was playing with it I didn't even bother with the plugins page at all, I just saved it as a genfs file in the base directory and it loaded it. But I wonder if you have two files there and the plugin page is telling to to load the wrong one?

My list of mod's I'm going to start on actually consists of
Bag sorting
User Interface theme
3rd 4 slot hotbar for Consumables.
Equipment Set manager
But I can't even begin if I can't get this mod kit to start working...

btw, the fact that it allows a lot of control doesn't really change the fact there is no reason they have to exclude the avatar, pat and weapon directories. I still wonder what the rationale is behind doing so?

Back when GenFS was first created (before I was employed by Gravity), I had to fight like hell just to get GenFS approved for overriding certain aspects of the User Interface, and approval for modding of the User Interface in general. There was a heated debate on the old/pre-WarpPortal forum, especially between Calanor and myself, about what should and should not be approved for modification, but the end result was a compromise where client modifications would be restricted to the User Interface based on the following exceptions:
Q7. To what extent can I modify the client?
A. GenFS does not endorse usage of the plugin for malicious or abusive modifications to the game client which do not adhere to Gravity's Terms & Conditions. To limit the potential abuse that may come with modifying the client, the current list of filetypes that can be modified are listed below. Please note that these restrictions may change over time to accommodate future requirements.
Supported Files & Folders
(* indicates that all files and subfolders are to be allowed except where the Supported File Types and Additional Notes state otherwise)
3DDATA/CONTROL/* (See Note #1)
3DDATA/TUTORIAL/* (See Note #2)
PLUGIN/* (See Note #3)
RES/*
SOUND/*
3DDATA/STB/LIST_STRING.STL
Supported File Types (Used In Conjunction With Requirements Above)
Texture Formats: DDS, JPG, PNG, TGA, PSD, CUR, ICO, BMP
Interface Formats: TSI, XML, ID, STL
Sound Formats: OGG, WAV
Additional Notes
#1. Gravity Copyright and Terms of Service image or text files cannot be modified (e.g. COPYRIGHT.DDS).
#2. Tutorial splash screen modifications only (i.e. 01.DDS - 14.DDS).
#3. No file type restrictions apply to the PLUGIN folder.

I just don't get what part/step I'm missing. I've tried from step 1: installing a fresh installation of ROSE. Gone through all the hoopes again, and the result, is using your mod for the RES folder, and adding in my mods via that same mod. The .TGA images update fine, but the .DDS images don't. It acts like they're not even in the folder, which they are, i checked many times.
