I find it weird in general that the book weapons can be upgraded anyway.

Genetics are researchers and scientists. It makes sense that they would know how to create the best food. They probably used genetically enhanced materials, chemical flavoring, and special vitamins to make the +20 stat food that normal people wouldn't have access too.

As for skills, it'd be nice to see more incentives to explore the forging side of the Smithy class. ._.

It's kind of stupid for smith to only be able to make or upgrade weapon. They should be able to do it for armor too. I think they should create another class after whitesmith for ppl that wants to continue the forging route instead of becoming mech.

It will be called the leecher. I remember back in iro chaos, people would afk their characters up on that one ledge in clocktower and just get leeched levels.
