Anyone know how to open two requeim launchers
Posted 18 February 2013 - 03:36 PM
Whenever you update launcher.exe you need to update your copy version of the requiem.exe file that is in /system else the second copy of the game wont run with Freja's proxifier type.
there's no reason to use a proxy anymore.
hmmm...tried a few things and still not working. Anyone have it working right now?
bypass the launcher and start the second client (requiem.exe) directly via a shortcut*.
*needs the correct path and launcher settings in the properties. (see above)
i tried long time ago..no sucess ^^
this has been changed semi-recently (within a few months).

I get an error that says I need to start through the launcher.
one has to bypass the launcher and start the second requiem.exe directly.

launcher2.exe gives an error that says I need to start through the updater, and a -m in the command line of updater doesn't change anything.
i beleive in the properties of the LAUNCHER2.EXE add the line -m at the end of the target that should set it to load multiple clients

Heya. I had been using this setup for a month or so, but it stopped working. Don't think I changed anything. Hoping if I tell you what's going on you might be familiar with the problem. I log on the first instance with no problem, but the second instance will crash as soon as I get through the logon and my toon hits the dirt. Any idea?
My post about multi-clienting is about a year old. It still works but it's not needed to do all that anymore. It's much simpler to do like DEADCATZ is doing now:
1. Make a copy of your Requiem shortcut
2. Right-click the copy and choose "Properties"
3. Look at the line called "Target". It should look the same or very similar to this, just like DEADCATZ post
"C:\Program Files (x86)\Gravity\Requiem\system\Requiem.exe" 188.8.131.52 -FromLauncher 0/0 0 0 1 3 04. Look at the line called "Start in" and make it look the same or very similar:
"C:\Program Files (x86)\Gravity\Requiem\system"5. Now you should be able to double click that shortcut for as many clients you need
If it still doesn't work then show us exactly what those "Target" and "Start in" lines are on your shortcut

My shortcut target is: "C:\Program Files (x86)\Gravity\Requiem\system\Requiem.exe" 184.108.40.206 -FromLauncher 0/0 0
and it says to start in: "C:\Program Files (x86)\Gravity\Requiem\system"
I did a copy/paste to be sure I'm showing it exactly as I have it -- which just led to me realizing I was missing "0 1 3 0" from the target string. I had cut and pasted before, so I assumed that the whole string was there -- I know, insert assume joke here.
lol...works fine. Thanks all. Can't wait to try when I get home (work computer not really powerful enough to run this way).
and an extra shout out to DEADCATZ and Freya!! Thanks, guys!

virtual box is one that i heard of that works and you can have the equivalent requiem clients open to how many core processor you have on the computer.
my favorite way of doing is is to have the web browser and the client open(but this isn't two clients)

1- run launcher, log your char etc.... and minimize.
2- repeat first step with a second launcher.
I dont use programs, and dont have 2 folders, just run both and works, but I heard not all ppl can do this.

they'll probably find away to put a block on it during this maint. Or in the near future. This will for some reason be something they want to fix unlike say the Dash Bug.
yes, after 4(?) years they'll put a stop to this evil hack !
