Wish I never read this thread. =\ From now on, my +10 upgrading will suck.

So far...

2 +10 certs -> 1st +10 level 4 weap
1 +10 cert -> 2nd +10 level 4 weap
7 +10 certs -> 3rd +10 level 4 weap

Still have about 20 +10 certs left. What is worth to +10 besides weapons?

enriched hammer doesnt help going from +9-+10 i thought. Isn't it same chance as hd at that point?

Yeah. Enriched has the same chance of upgrading to +10 as mighty hammer. That's why enriched hammer doesn't do +10-ing.

Immune shield: too expensive to make full set with racial card... i finally made my full set of racial carded valk shields like 2 months ago!!!
Red pom band: dont woe/pvp
Nid Garb: Why!? Isn't backpack better now? Extra sp? AB is my main. Doubt an additional + is gonna do anything good to backpack for AB.
Valk armor: Just for additional def?

=( I am poor. Need too consider if it is worth it before +10ing anything. Need more opinions.

That and they have pretty good resell value at +10. Assuming you don't have luck like mine.

Its just easier / cheaper to get back to +9.

And you won't use 1000 HD ori

Guess I have the same luck as you. I used 500 enriched ori = 100 boxes and you used 100 boxes of hd too.

Used 500 enriched ori to get my level 4 weap to +9 about 10times and all 10 times failed to +10. =( that was with audience. Then took 2 +10 certs and got that same weapon to +10 w/o audience. Upgrading on the same character.

Maybe I am luckier when no one is looking.

Lol, rate lock. Not sure if it's real or a superstition but when I upgrade and I fail to +10 something, I go out of Eden to kill a Poring and then my next upgrade sometimes go success. xD

I should try this next time!

Im really sorry to hear you are having such bad luck with upgrading, KriticalAssassin.
But i guess look at the bright side.
You still have your +9. I know not much an consolation considering how much effort you put into it but it would have been so much worst it it broke><
For now thou i think you have 2 main options keep trying ( who knows maybe the next time you will get it +10)
Or give up on upgrading your self and just save and vend till you can buy one.

and yeah might be coincidental but i have better luck upgrading without an audience

People have like different "superstitions". One of my guildies is like.... "Go away Creza. I'm not upgrading because you're bad luck." He even wears Maya Purple so he can check if I'm cloaking or not to make sure I'm not spying on him.

You must be the opposite of me. My guildies sometimes ask me to upgrade stuff for them because of how much luck I have with it. =/

Dude, you should've seen when I +10'd mine last year. I stocked up on about 750 HD Ori when I got ready to fight Mighty Hammer for it, only to have it +10 on the first ore.

Already used 9 safe to 10 certs and still no +10 equip. I'm really beginning to hate ro

I only had half the bad luck you got, took like less than 600 HD ori to +9 the kvm ._.

On the other hand , I used like 4 +10 certs to get it to +10 all sponsored by my friend T-T!
and used 100 HD bradium hoping to get it to +12 but no luck there. :/ We all have our lucks and our bad lucks xDD

I did the same thing with my Thorn Staff. xD I bought a bunch of HD's, only to have it go from +9 to +10 in one try. >.> I had to find a way to get rid of the excess afterwards.

They should add a 100% chance to +10 from +9 cert for 200 USD. I already used 197.5 USD worth of materials to try and +10 it.

Don't use Mighty Hammer, just wait for Enriched hammer he's there every 2 weeks or so..............

They have a good resale value if you didn't open them all. I sold a bunch of mine and used the rest for other weapons. I +9'd a kvm fist with the leftovers and still had a bunch left. Mighty sucks for level 4 weapons and armor, but he's usually pretty good with level 3 weapons like elven bows & carga maces.

I know plenty of people with certifications for computer stuff and it seems like they get stuff right by chance then absolute knowledge

I used my last few +10 certs and managed to do +11 Heroic Backpack (why not?) and with the last one I even managed to +10 my Witch's Pumpkin Hat (hah, 1 in 1 right there!) O:
