Venatus aren't ranged and they're great for AoE killing.

Comet isn't really practical in turn-ins as I don't have the patience for a Warlock to need to sit for SP every few seconds considering the low levels. It also takes forever to cast, unless you think people will be able to Release it at that level, in which case I'll have to ask how.

Wanderers give 1.5x more EXP than Venatus, that's a big difference. There's also the fact that Venatus will give no EXP when turning in basically, and they're too low of a level for the higher range to enjoy when killing. Assuming we get more awesome maps like the week that just passed, they wouldn't cause a problem with Snatch or whatever. Have a dedicated tank instead of everyone being their own one-man wrecking failing crew.

Can I ask why not? I got my comet book at level 101 will level 5 comet soon to follow. There are many ways to get the book without doing the quest yourself.

1 for read spell book
1 for release
1 for summon fire
5 for crimson rock
5 for comet

thats a total of 13, you only need job 14 >______>

Doesn't it require something along the lines of 140+ INT? If so, and you're getting that at 111... wow. There's still the 800 SP cost too. Not all parties have Sorcs (even if so, you'll barely get SP from one as a Warlock), they're rather rare sadly.
The point remains, though, Venatus give bad EXP. Should've stayed Wanderers.

You've never used Kaahi or Comet, apparently. Only two ways for a Warlock to run out.

@Akami: Wanderers would be just as mobby as Venatus so the "kill en masse" point isn't really valid.

Unlike Sorcerer Class, Warlock skills are not based on INT, but rather Matk.

And in this case,I think its a matter of convenience than it is about experience.Not all party leaders have giant fly wings which I dread everytime I enter a party without any(In which case,I tell them to pass me lead) and Wanderers hurt like hell to poorly geared players and squishy classes and Venatus would be easier to finish,even though I would have preferred another monster.

@Riakuta: Doesn't Reading Spellbook require INT in order to store spells? I never cared enough to get Release, so I wouldn't know.
