Player status is basically tells what the person is currently in.
ie.
- Logged in
- Logged out
- AFK (no actions taken after 5 minutes?)
- In battleground
- In raid (only when they are actually in the raid dungeon)
These 5 status should be visible in the Guild List and Friends List.

I would love to see that implemented, that way when one login, can check the friend list and know wich people is available to do something.

+1 , would be great to know if someone is in a BF or afk when you /w them

Would be truly useful, especially when AFK or during raids. Being bombarded with whispers and endless windows when doing a raid is a pain in the rear. Also, endless whispers going unanswered while you are AFK might send a wrong message to the sender, like that they are being ignored, would be good if they knew that you are actually not able to respond.
