thx for the clarifications, i love that glorius set and i had no idea about those 6 con xeons, i might use those once i get that glorius armor but im still 65, and yea i agreed on con over def.
nvm about the theory, but what i mean is that some(not all skills, mostly i refer to the zerks ones) skills are affected by def in different ways for example the x skill once u get 1300 def it will start to get its damage reduced by 5% per 50 def instead of 2% per 50 def (this is an example, the actual formula should be logaritmical not as simple as this one and not even sure if it logaritmical becuase i suspect the values only increase beetween certain ammounts of defence or maybe just an add bonus if u get to certain defence) or maybe it just works by reducing the chance to get the max damage based on def im not sure, this is just an example and i have no insterest on testing this properly xD so dont pay much attention because the evidence i have of this is not properly collected.
S2 carus Glorious isnt really THAT Glorious at all. Old S1 Glorious, this is GLORIOUS. If I may suggest, dont go trying to acquire the 72 sets. It will take an awful lot of time. You would probably be better off aiming for the 75 Conqueror set. Since JS raids all require the same time more or less, and probably there are more Tyrant ones happening. The 75 set is substantially better than the 72s I believe.
65 Seamless is a pretty robust set. It can be acquired with much less grief and can also be upgraded more and easier. It is only eximius, you get higher chances of success in improving, and exim basics are certainly more plentiful. I have always been using Seamless pieces. At least until I was ready for the BIG jump in gear. RH set looks cool, thing is it will again prove quite hard to acquire all 5 pieces. Rare pieces are still Ok for upgrading. Fairly decent chances of success and basics not too hard to come by. Personally, I am quite fond of the Biskra sets, even if they are just 3-piece ones. This however means, they can be completed easier. A mixed outfit of 3 Biskra pieces (whole set) and 3 Seamless (half set) is a fine choice.
If you are interested in some good tanking... I have used the Sea Protector set + the rest Seamless, works just fine. Always talking about PvE here.
S1 armour and especially full sets... This is probably just a distant dream nowadays. I think it would be EXTREMELY difficult to find these. There is only a limited number circulating, people are seldom willing to sell, and if they do... prices are sky high.
In the end, whatever one chooses, it all comes down to how much the gear can be upgraded. The more the merrier. If you have +15 rare pieces, these will probably be MUCH better than non-upgraded or just slightly upgraded carus. Same with every piece of gear. Depends on one's choices and how much time and effort one is willing to invest.
Finally, I will accept all arguments about def and the cap of it. If people say so, probably this is how it is. In any case, I am still a def junkie, and looking for ways to break the 3000 base def barrier (maybe next +20% reinf event!).
That's all, thanks!

I saw theme battle the other day over my friends shoulder and saw FloorMatt in action.
It literally made my jaw drop to see one person run through a mob of people and wreck
em all. I wanted to drop my Ranger and pick up commander immediately. If my OCD to
completing things didn't kick in, I probably would had.
with that said, I love the blood splatter brushes you used.
EDITED: fixed my fail Engrish :__:

Thought I'd throw this out there:

I'd like to think that some skill does come with it, there's only so much item mall can do.

Sooo...I have 250 CAD ,Damage 1000-1200..that means:
1000 x2 = 2000 + CAD 250 = 2250
1200 x2 = 2400 + 250 = 2650
2250-2650 sounds a lot like my crit range. So that's how it goes eh.
But yeah, ratio being 1:1, CAD is a high risk indeed.
Yea I'd say CAD build is useless for commander.
Wreckd you crazy berzerker XD

And yea...it takes skill and experience too.. not just gears >..>
And it's possible to get nice stuff without cash shop
It's just that I have piss luck, and don't like taking much chance, cuz reinforcing/enchants terrify me. XD I pretty much use cash shop full throttle on everything, even with things at 90% chance. But then again... it's too risky for me to lose my season1 gear. That would give me a heart attack if that happened.
Well I guess other than that you pretty much need premium to get high level :r Unless you are one of those few extremely crazy grind addicts.
Anywho, thanks. Also going from ranger to commander, will be something totally opposite loool. Ranger is pretty much easy mode.
Well I guess ranger can get boring though sometimes eh.
Haha I like what sabbatum said, Kamikaze spirit. Yeah. Definitely.
Rangers prolly piss themselves if they die. Commanders are like rush, rush, rush , kill kill die, kill die, die, kill die, kill kill kill die, die die die or various other combinations.

CAD can be cool. If melee skills just would not miss so much. If there was a reliable way to guarantee higher rates of success it would certainly have a real purpose. But, personally, I will never rely on my possible 2900 beam slash or 3300 moonlight criticals (these are obviously NOT on highly armoured mobs or players). I would rather prefer my modest 2400-2500 criticals on normal attacks in AA mode. For once again, agreed that Commanders trying to max their CAD build and abilities... is kind of pointless.
Skill is obviously paramount in any situation. However, superb gear DOES make a difference. One of the things I never failed to enjoy in this game... Is the BIG laughs I can have when sometimes, melee opponents will struggle in every possible way to do something on me... You name it, try their skills, kite, move away, do this do that. While I just stand there lazily landing an occasional hit for a several 100s or couple of 1000s crits, lol. Such big laughs! This is where GEAR shows its importance. Even without trying or paying much attention, I can survive and defeat toughies, and all this just because of what I use... Nice gear will always make the difference.
I have always used mall items, as much as I can afford. I am the kind of person that will fail a reinforcement with 98% chance. And I am not going to gamble with S1 Glorious, nope. Neither with carus weapon or shield, when it is such a pain to even acquire the carus basics for ONE bloody upgrade.
I dont know if Commanders are Kamikaze maniacs. Maybe. I dont follow that path, heh. I prefer the way of the peaceful Titan/Dragon. You come and annoy the creature, you get kicked into oblivion in return. And when the creature moves, beware, the ground shakes. Lol! That kind of thing...
Or rather I use my powers to help my friends and guildies, and whoever is nice and asks for assistance, to smack mobs, bosses and acquire needed gear. We all have our personal style anyway.
