So it's a similar damage type to dragon breath. Does defending aura reduce it? If it does that one genetic skill reduces it(fire expansion 3)

as far as i know its def piercing... it goes right through Cicada skin shed and Mirror image...

It goes through DA iirc

 

Pneuma (and other pneuma-like skills) were the only skills I could find that would do anything to RT.

like other said. the skill ignore all kind of reduction ( skills like pneuma is a nullifying type- skill). my fully buffed RG (no mvps/god) cant survived RT in pvp... didnt notice about woe though, since too many skills overlap each other

Oh so does Ec not reduce it? I never had anyone 1 shotting me... that would mean it bypasses mental strength too then though

Mental Strength reduces RT damage. EC also reduces it.

10 second cool down. fail chance, 100k zenny vs. 10 Second Cooldown, will surely hit, all of your sp.

Sounds like its be a stalemate if those are the only offensive skills that are used. Sura can camp in pneuma and assuming the kagerou is 150 with 100 vit, the sura can't even touch the kagerou unless it uses holy light. Which won't kill anyone anyway.

I think the problem is that you don't need any decent gear to do damage with RT, all you need is to hope it hits.

I think the problem is that, there is no universal way to survive RT damage except some class-specific skill, all you need is 100 001 HP to make sure you can survive.

p/s: all reduction ignoring skill should be nerfed or make them reducable

i only play my Kagerou and i personally think this skill needs a nerf, if nothing else give it a 3 second (unreducable) cast time that even 16th night cant reduce... then it will give people the chance to use hide or something... it takes all skill out of playing when this skill can trump everything and everybody in a single shot...

We've all known from the history of this stupid game that one shot kills trumps all and game balance is determined by nerfing even more nerfed characters like Performers and buffing the already overpowered characters like RK/Sura. Rapid Throw might not be seeing a nerf any time soon.

PvP sucks for you because your RK keeps dying to SC's in PvP. Hell if you can't play it don't flame it. I don't WoE at all, that doesn't make me go around post -_-e about it.

in addition, i think vellum katz hp drain should be modified to either give it % chance for proc rate or change the hp drain to sp drain ...

 

Flat 8% HP drain for each swing or 40% at 190+ aspd (8% x 5 hit= 40%)  is insane, <- this without counting in other final damage

 

inb4 SirDouglas is a vellum katz user?

they should have implemented the nerf on chasers. making the skill only do 50k max damage because of the throw kunai penalty

 Meaning they can have Rapid Throw+a 3rd job skill at the same time.

....... They honestly shouldn't even be allowed to have that skill. If they were to be allowed to have it, it should be copied with reproduce! Rogues would completely ruin the point of even bothering with that skill as an Oboro/Kagerou. (Also to note I don't have that skill nor care to get it due to the tremendous waste in zeny)...

I do not care , in my opinion all the skills that ignore reductions (Rapid Throw, LandMines,Hellplant, Dragon Breath, Goh hp part, Warg...) should be nerfed.  I see no point for a debuff class with 80% demihuman reduction and some elemental reduction giving more damage than  a dps class using ATK gears with no demihuman reduction.
