Since I will most likely be leaving soon, I will leave my Skill/Stat build if anyone is interested below:

Klyde's Rogue build

Due to this I won't be answering any more questions. Good luck to all you future Rogues in the future!

A bit of background on my build:

Why Dark Illusion level 3? Purely Colo Purposes. Love the Kill Stealing potential of this skill~
Why Smoke Bomb level 2? Again, Colo purposes. I didn't want to max it since, each Colo round is 3 minutes with 1 minute intervals. Level 2 is enough to use it twice each round, without Dirty Plan.
Why Crescent Cutter? Purely farming purposes, and -sometimes- stealing mob agro from healers, but barely used it for this reason.
Why not Max Gangster's Paradise? The 20 seconds, I didn't see myself needing this as much, however I got it to level 4 before I reached level 30.
Why not Max Mark of Death? Love this skill even though everyone disagrees, sacrificing the 2% wasn't that bad.
Why not Max Unstoppable Doping? Because it still activates pretty often at level 4, and only takes maybe 2~3 extra more pots to max AR.

I was wondering, does anybody knows what haste and vigor truly do ?
I've seen so much but I don't really know what to trust.
haste is supposed to reduce cast time, animation and increase normal attack (white hits) speed and vigor is supposed to reduce cooldows (global too?).
I'd also like to know if anything reduces the global cooldown ?

Haste reduces cast time. This applies to skills that have listed cast times and yellow casting bars, so as a rogue with only instant skills, this does not affect you at all.
Haste does not affect your attack speed.

Vigor reduces cooldown. As in the cooldown times you see listed on skills.

As far as I know, nothing affects casting animation/delay or global cooldowns.

Confirmed not true. Increases my own thief skills damage, feel free to double check!

Yes, I did a sample of only 26 double attack crits, resulting in an 11.8% more dmg (min-max dmg difference) when using MoD. Even though 11.8% is a bit off from 10% (again, the min/max dmgs), it is convincing enough that MoD works on thief skills, so I just stopped there

I did an insane amount of DPS testing (bored with colo gear & need DPS for CoA), basically confirming or disproving every single theory with thief/rogue skills hovering around these forums

I'll post up some results later when I organize everything

Thanks for looking into it and testing the skills.

I still cringe at MoD though...

You proved that the minimum damage is always going to be higher (which is definitely a plus). But with MoD only lasting 30 seconds that seems like a pretty weak raise, especially when you were able to come really close in damage (if not outright beat it) on a number of hits.

My point against MoD is that there are few situations you will be able to get the most out of it. Even if you find a boss where you can stand there and safely hit it for MoD's entire effect (like the raid scarecrow), in a long-term fight you will do more consistent DPS by simply using the Smoke Bomb / Moonlight Dance combo twice every 2 minutes.

(I assume that for someone to max MoD, they don't max both SB and DP.)

To me it's just not worth the points. I've tested side-by-side against another rogue using MoD and the same Attack Power (we had her get full Adrenaline rush while I stayed at basic Unstable Doping) on raid boss scarecrows, and 3 times in a row I beat her by 100k or more (we only did this 3 times, cause it takes awhile). The raid boss scarecrow is the ideal situation for MoD and even then she couldn't come close to the DPS of SB / MD dance combo (twice every 2 min) while we dps'd it.

BTW, for other rogues who don't know-- you can move while doing Moonlight Dance. After you activate the skill, hit auto-run (NumLock by default) and then hold right-click + move forward. This works with all skills.

It might be good to add that accessories are in fact available before level 40 (Pandora)

 

At the time I wrote this guide, wasn't aware that Pandora Boxes would be implemented! so yeah s:

It was this guide that inspired me to create my Rogue alt (Kaikko) and it's without a doubt my favorite DPS.

Yep. Although if you pug, I suggest you start your own group seeing as the "Melee DPS" slot (if there is one) gets filled quite fast. It also helps if you have Mark of Genocide maxed out, your raid party will appreciate it.

Poisoning Weapon for DPS. 5% per 2 seconds really adds up.

 

Moonlight Dance is mainly for PVP, in my opinion.  It's used to deal guaranteed damage because 1) it has many hits and it's nearly impossible for all the hits to miss. 2) The hits connect even if the target runs away.

 

Get poison to deal more DoT damage, which helps a lot for PVE. In PVP, MD is a great finisher; otherwise, Deadly Blow is a better choice. The only time I use MD outside of PVP is when my Combo Mastery activates, which I proceed to use Smoke Bomb for a total of 220%.

A question direclty to Klyde: I've seen one of your PVP videos on Twitch just recently and you moved extremely fast while in Hide (without wind potion / guardian). Did you respec and max it? If so, can we maybe get a look at the new build? :)

A question direclty to Klyde: I've seen one of your PVP videos on Twitch just recently and you moved extremely fast while in Hide (without wind potion / guardian). Did you respec and max it? If so, can we maybe get a look at the new build? :)

 

Oh the Colo one? Yeah I now have level 3 hide, I respec to a hybrid Single Target / WoE build so it's pretty much the same as always, except I ditched Mark of Death and went level 5 Poisoning Weapon.

Here's mine after a reset. It is focused on colo except for the 5/5 thief buff which is a COMPLETE NECESSITY in raids as they can easily replace you with any other ranged DPS or another rogue/sin with it maxed. I maxed hide because a lot of the time I spent stalking around before with level one I saw a low hp target and couldn't even get within 20m range fast enough before someone else killed him. I also maxed DI because without it you will find yourself swinging at someone only to have them survive on 50 hp or less and have the kill secured by the rightful owner, the same to the excess point in throw dagger as it has actually netted me a few kills (if you survive on 10 hp I hate you x.X). Maxed UD, SB, GP is obvious I also maxed poison as the DoT has also netted me kills on runners combined with throw dagger. One point in CM should be enough just for the utility same for DP as the Guardian -> DP -> SB trick gets you another SB in the final round. And of course MoD and MD are trash, don't even bother.

Personal achievement of mine, wanted to get 700 Atk Buff from AR and more than 50% Critical without Raid buffs. Mission accomplished!
