Would you rather spend minutes using Windows Movie Maker (for each FRAPS file), or about 1 second to drop one or more file(s) onto a batch script? ^^Wouldn't it be simpler to just take the raw .avi file from FRAPS and drop it into Windows Movie Maker?

Hmmm...you raise a good point. Though, that leaves Requiem maintenance as my only practice in patience.
Edit: Mcafee says the Mplayer. be dangerous. o.o

MPlayer is dangerously fast, lightweight and compatible. That's probably why =.=...Edit: Mcafee says the Mplayer. be dangerous. o.o
I honestly don't know, I've stopped using anti-virus/malware/adware software.
Does Mcafee says why it is dangerous? Perhaps it is just trying to be useful in some way.

I tried to drag the avi video to the FEED-ME-FILES.cmd like what you did, but FEED-ME-FILES.cmd said couldn't find the video (written in the command prompt) .
So I just edit the name of the video: delete the record date.
Then FEED-ME-FILES.cmd could find the video, but the size of encoded video is 0 bytes.
So I wanna ask how can you solve this problem.
Thanks

Yes, XRay had a similar problem too. It happens because there are one or more spaces in the filename, it has nothing to do with different dates. I solved it back then, and updated the FEED-ME-FILES.cmd so it should still work...The name of those avi videos recorded by FRAPS also includes the record date.

Can you write down exactly what the command prompt says?

edit: btw if i record at "half size" it is a noticeably smaller hit i take in fps and becomes playable but the quality sucks.. but this too makes me think it's the harddrive (or write speed specifically)

I'm playing in 1440x900 @ 29.97fps with Fraps. When I record my harddrive reaches 25mb/sec in write speed. I haven't checked what the top write speed might be, but I'm pretty sure it is only 30mb/sec since I'm using this old 7200rpm IDE-disk.i downloaded fraps recently and started testing how bad o hit i take in games, it's really freakin bad. Ok, i'm at 1920x1080 and would like to get some good quality outta my videos. So anyway for requiem i'll be at 150+fps in windowed, record at 30fps full-size and BAM i'm jumping all over the place and a good amount of the time i'm under 15fps lagging left and right.. and basically unplayable. I have a 5970 so it's only using 1 gpu in windowed.. so i go to full-screen (aka vsync so 60fps) and try to record and same thing.. tho more often than not the game will just crash. This is the worst i've seen so far, but i take a damn good chunk outta my fps in any game i play. Anywho, my question is how big of a impact does the harddrive have on recording - is that where my problem is?, i just have a regular 7200rpm HD nothin special. If i get a SSD will i see a huge difference? kinda been looking into them anyway.

I would try a lower resolution or perhaps get a new harddrive. You don't need a SSD-disk for that though. They are not THAT good at write speeds anyway.
Besides, 1920x1080 (Full HD) is overkill in a game like Requiem
edit: Oh, I almost forgot. Check if you have any programs that might be
1. Scanning files that are currently in use (Anti-virus software usually does that)
2. System Restore stuff or other programs or background services that might be saving "system restore points" or whatever it is called.
3. Basically anything that might be interfering with the harddrive.
If you have any of those, deactivate them.

Right click FEED-ME-FILES.cmd and choose EditSo I wonder what the problem is?
Thanks
It should look like this exactly:
@echo off "%~dp0mencoder.exe" "%1" -o "%1.x264-encoded.avi" -ovc x264 -oac mp3lame -lameopts cbr:br=128 -vf eq=0:10 pause
edit: fixed

Ok I edited the FEED-ME-FILES.cmd and it had the same problem still.
So I renamed the avi file to 6.avi
then it can be encoded, but
and the encoded video is 0 bytes.
I don't know why the encoded video is 0 bytes.

Hmm that's strange. That's not a file from Fraps, is it? Can you check if MPlayer can play the file? Just drag the file to mplayer.exe instead and see if starts playing.I don't know why the encoded video is 0 bytes.
The reason why you had to rename the file was because the FEED-ME-FILES.cmd was missing quotes, signs like these:
"
So make sure there really are quotes in the FEED-ME file!
edit: And it looks like the batch file doesn't finish, which makes me believe that MEncoder frooze... If it finish encoding it should print "Press any key to continue..." (even if it fails)

yes it can be played by Mplayer.
And I think you are right. It is the problem of the quotation "
Now my avi videos can be encoded after I re-typed all the quotation " for the FEED-ME-FILES.cmd.
Thanks a lot.
And one more thing. How do you write this piece of code? Is that from C++, java or any other languages?

Open Fraps -> FPS -> Check the radio button for "Overlay Corner" to "Disabled"Do you have any idea how to remove the fps mark(the yellow number in top left)?
Because I don't want to have the fps number in the video.
