Hmm so how would you get instant with gear in a PvM situation? The beelzebub option is the only option?
Oh wait. I wouldn't be wearing the WoE set in a PvM situation. So... let's see there is FAW I could wear.

Tsod enchants 2x spell (4) is 20%
Kk skull cap (at +10) is another 20% from the combo. Thats over 100%

Hi, I've just started building a sorcerer and I'm still uncertain with the importance of Dex. If I aim to achieve 100% cast reduction from gears and Ventus, do I still need to get high dex as well?
If not, other than Int and Vit, what're the other stats that will be important for a Sorc? I'm aiming to go with the usual Psychic Wave and some supporting skills.
Thanks!

if you can get 100% cast reduc gears and plan on using ventus, you can get 1 dex at the start, cause you can already get instacast from your gears and ventus. And for higher levels you can try and get 120 dex so you can benefit from the temp dex shoes and forego ventus, although that is entirely up to you.
Since you can get away with 1 dex, other than vit and int you can invest in luck to boost your matk

Good day!
Newbie here
I was just wondering if anyone can help me with my skill and stats build. I wanna be a semi-support AoE and I have the following gears:
Head: +4 Aria CoD, Ninja Scroll
Body: +6 Orleans's Gown of Axis
Weapon: +4 TSoD
Shield: +4 Cranial Orleans's Server
Garment: +7 Immune NSG
Shoes: +4 Fledged Valkyrian Shoes
Accessory: Orleans's Glove of Mad Witch
What should be my possible stats and any comments on this skill build: http://irowiki.org/~...skill4/sor.html ?
I just got confused with the discussion of skills here, though it really helped me on the gears.
Edit: I just became a Sorc, Lvl 99...

planning to play Soc .. as i refer to iRO, interested in this build:
Offensive Caster AoE
- STR: 1-50 (weight limit, masq resist)
- AGI: 1-50 (ASPD animation delay for smoother, faster casts, status resists)
- VIT: 95+ (stun immunity, HP pool)
- INT: 100-120 (primary stat for damage, silence immunity, SP pool)
- DEX: 100-120 (variable cast time, small amounts of MATK)
- LUK: 1-30 (small amounts of MATK, p.dodge and other small bonuses)
The offensive AoE build strips itself of its former single target spell past and ascends to the utilization of magic that deals damage to multiple foes. INT is the primary attribute to increase this damage output. Since INT is directly in Sorcerers' spell formulae, each point in INT will increase damage more than an equivalent in MATK alone. High amounts are key, thus the MATK one can gain through LUK or gear is inferior to equal amounts of INT. However, MATK is still included in the skill formulae so getting a small amount of LUK is still recommended, and it also provides other bonuses like perfect dodge and status resists. Sorcerer AoE spells have a very short after cast delay, but very high reuse delay. A common practice of using AoE spells in combination is key to reach high damage output. Unlike its Warlock counterpart, Sorcerers gain very little from the global cast delay effect of Magic Strings, as individual skill reuse delays CANNOT be reduced. The variable cast time reduction effect of Magic Strings is definitely helpful however.
The Sorcerer's most powerful AoE spell is Psychic Wave, which is neutral element by default but can be changed into Fire, Water, Wind, or Earth property through Summons. The next tier spells are Diamond Dust, Earth Grave, and Varetyr Spear. Getting at least one other second tier AoE is essential for effective combos, but learning all three severely limits the other spells you can acquire. It is suggested to gain at least one Elemental Summon ally, as they can change the element of your Psychic Wave. Preferably, the Fire Spirit Agni is the best choice, due to the severe lack of fire spells. This will also increase the healing effects of Warmer, which, when used with Indulge to also recover SP, proves to be incredibly effective and can save you a ton of supplies. In addition, if you choose to use Fire Walk, that damage will also increase. Offensive Sorcerers are a good balance of offense and defense, and can achieve the 100 total VIT necessary to become immune to stun in PvP and WoE. Offensive built Sorcerers may find themselves also acting as support in many situations, including giving SP to party members and so on. It is definitely possible to build a full offensive magic DPS Sorcerer that can still provide most (if not all) of the support skills in many situations.
Primary Skills Used Psychic Wave Diamond Dust Earth Grave Varetyr Spear Killing Cloud
as the main skill state as above, can someone guide me for another skill point to be allocated? TQ

If you going for pvm you eventually will end on Bio4, and ther my friends, you are going to be asked for support role, anyway, my PVM sorc is offensive caster because, i like to mvp with him a lot xDD, but dont forget ME, striking, indulge maxed and soul exhale for bio parties, rest is up to you. For PVM i have maxed int, 120 dex for temporal boots and 100 is for vit...spare points you decide, maybe luk (i put it there)....all offensive spells to actually deal on different situations and if you mvp i recommend get some of the summons and a couple of insignias (i have 2), i have 3 summons, agni, aqua and ventus (purely on my pvm sorc i repeat again)

skills you dont need or doesnt work on pvm well:
Extreme Vaccum: you dont need this skill in pvm because only work on soooome maps, not all, so basically it depend a lot (on most dungeons and ET doesnt work for example)
Arrullo: Doesnt work outside woe or PVP maps
Elemental Shiled: Is a very situational skill, gives you pneuma and SW on AOE to your party members, buuuuut, the skills has the same duration than original so basically when the 5 or 7 seconds of pneuma run out, you are going to stay with a lot of safety wall and unable to put pneuma again (if needed) i like it at first on woe, but i dont use it now because mess up the pneumas and...that basically, not very useful on pvm parties unless is a static one...and, can mess up the aoe targeting with the pneumas.
For mvping get water insignia instead of wind because wind is the easiest of all elements to improve (elvira card, tikbalang, gioia) so you will be doing a lot more dmg with wind endowed PW than any other element. Is pretty much the basic setup to kill fenris with sorc anyway, you can paired out to kill bakonawa also and other mvps aswell.
Get killing cloud if you have temporal boots (for proc) and if you have a lot of gems, remember that each KC consume 2 reds. If you going for full dmg PVM get all the dmging spells also.
Fiberlock is kind of useful sometimes on PVM but i dont find myself using it a lot, plus, on some dungeons fiberlock cant be used (like ET) i have it on my woe sorc, but i tend to dont on my pvm one, is up to you, but ocnsider that will free you like 10 skill points on second job.

Good day,
I have read the whole post and i like to have some more advice and some clarifications.
I have a Sorc and planning to max level it
Currently my stats are
Int 120
Vit 100
Rest is 1 (still have 505 stat points)
Equips are:
+12 kk skulcap
+12 Tsod 5/5 (for Sc combo)
FAW (perfect spell)
RWC Spel 3/3 1int/1dex (2 pcs)
Int Temp boots RM/SP5
+9 Magical set
Bryn (for matk?)
Di BDM
With this equips i can gain insta cast on DD and insta cast on other spells using Ventus
I do mainly for quest PvM and maybe a liitle WOE in future
So heres my questions:
1. regarding stat distribution
Should i invest on dex? if yes why? since it only contributes on casting time and we can reduce it on equips
What final stats can you recommend?
2. I want to boost my Matk, what items do you recommend should i get? (to increase damage on PvM and PvP)
3. Regarding summons, does lvl 3 summon turn your PW to its elements? i have checked description and it says only on lvl 2?
So i think only aqua should i get to lvl 3 since it can boost matk up to 120?
Thank you guys

1 Dex is unnecessary with this build, unless you want to use dex shoes, you can leave this at 1 dex. I don't recommend it for woe though.
3 .You want water insignia, so you end up getting aqua 3.
2 Keep in mind Sorc damage formulas rely more on Int in their damage calculations so anything that adds int is good.
Some things you can get to increase your Matk.
Spell 6/6/7 FAW [Antique book]
Add Scaraba cards to your RWC accessories
ESL BFGs (MVP) that would add 4 int, as well as give you some nice PVM bonuses.
To increase damage, i hope you have all your endows maxed.
Striking yourself for more Varytr Spear damage
While its true that the 120 matk from aqua would help, I don't like to rely on that as a reliable source of damage increase.
I'd rather use Takoyaki, Reno buffs, amp scrolls if i need them. +30 foods would give you more damage as well.

Hello, I'm just trying to get started with this class and I really need some tips for it.
What equipments are good and cheap to get started?
I got a +9 CoD (Isilla) and that's all. Also got 500m, but I'm pretty sure it won't be enough to afford anything (i heard it's the most expensive class). lol
(oh yeah, I want to be a PVM Caster).
Thank you in advance for any help you might provide!

Start with a +9 FAW (clean is okay) or Spell7/6/6 if you can afford one. Card it with Ray if you'd like to solo a lot, or Antique Book if it would be caster exclusive gear (I share mine with Kagero so Antique Book will make my Kagero too squishy).
Then work more zeny to get a decent enchant TSOD that only costs you ~150m (Spell3/4 or less, depending on budget left, or if you can get Spell4/4+ that would be a steal).
Next thing is either 2x perfect/decent-enchant RWC Rings or INT/DEX Boots Spell5. Go with INT if you have Ventus out, or DEX for any other spirits. Remember you have to invest 120 points on either stats. Spell5 still worth to get tho.
Armor is pretty much Orlean's Gown w/ Marc/Evil Druid/elemental etc. If you happen to have more zeny, work on Geffen Magic Robe + KK card.
RWC Rings can be left empty for either utility cards (Heal/Teleport/etc), Scaraba, or Elvira.

Spike, thanks for answering me. I got 2 RWC Pendants and I've been trying to get 'em to Spell 3/3. So maybe it isn't that bad all.
Also, thanks for the tips on equipments

Question,
I've got a sorc which I'm currently leveling. But on a few instance on mvping on my ranger and even gene, there's this particular sorc that's able to stop my spells from casting (acid bomb/Arrow Storm).
Searched high and low and I dont seem to know what that spell is.

Blinding Mist, when you cast some single targer skill onto something under its effect, there's a high chance of failure

- The blind status will not affect:
- The caster
- Other players on PvM maps
- Boss property monsters
- Monsters with high int and/ or vit (i.e. Kathryne Keyron)
- Party members in PvP maps
- Guild and alliance members in WoE maps
Guess iro is outdated once again :/
So to negate it, I'll just have to run out of it?
