KMAYDNTK, you really aren't helping your own situation here. I've only gotten to 110, I'm an married adult, with a job, I take classes, and have a daughter to take care of, and you don't see me whining do you? Just worry about yourself, level with you have the time, or just quit for now. The GM's will more then likely start adding quick leveling events soon enough. Just tough it out until then.

Although I agree certain skills are way OP, I think we should wait until more people are 140-50 before we start blocking/nerfing/banning skills. (IMO anyway)

If I had any request for the GMs... it would be to try and hurry with the future updates (Scarab Hole and the Ranger buffs mostly). Add more quests above 100 to help with the grind, possibly make Ymir and Ygg perma x2 exp, look at the exp given by higher level monsters and adjust them accordingly, and advertise so we can get some new life in this game.

This is what i call internet e-thugery nerd rage

Really me getting angry over my loved one is nerd rage? You live in the city don't you? My neice and her mother both play this game. My sister who works for minimal wage and her daughter play this game. My neice because she like it and my sister so she can keep an eye on her daighter. I'm not an E thug give me your addy and I'll show up on your doorstep. I'm just speaking for the ones with ittle downtime. I'm not trying to make threats only speaking the truth. You have your lifeless nerds living in their moms basements and you got the people with jobs. It's easy to tell the difference. Anyone over 140 are the nerds. I'm of the ones who is about to take $8000 from gravity because I'm about to move my loved ones away from RO. I have already bought WOW and FF14 for my loved ones. All I have to do is tell them I'll pay for all their subs and there goes alot of money gravity was getting. The more I post the more of you nerds are showeing yourselves. I'll keep doing what I need to bring you out. Not today tho I need to rest for work tomorrow. I still don't feel anyone could have gotten to 150 legitly yet. Even those with no jobs and leveling 15 hours a day. I don't think its possible. I have rooted through doddlers database and it don't seem possible without bug abuse. I am juast trying to get back the little release I had. You are just trying to keep yourself above everyone else. The majority of the server don't like the current system. The no life players who are 150. Either by cheating or leveling far more then other players possibly can are defending the curent system. You will insult me. I don't care. If not for my love one I'd say gravity can go-_- them selves. Fact remains anyone who wants the system as it is are the lifeless nerds or those who cheated their way to max level. Now I must take my leave unlikeyou I have work in the morn. Good night and go to hell

Eleven pages.... Heim's last post is on page 4 and so far, no comment, nothing on topics about rebalancing, easing the exp/drops penalties, reducing the grinding, and all the bug abuses.

I guess this thread should be renamed to "vent your anger here about renewal and we don't give a-_-."

Here's the elephant in the room. Keep saying everything is fine and dandy in the Land of Ragnadoom.

Did you really just call me a lady you-_-? Look at my post again you will know I'm a man. I am fit to make suggestions. I am like most of the player base. We do not have as much time as you. Those who have all the time in the world only make up 5% of the playerbase. I am part of the other 95% who don't have the time to level and are complaining. What level are you. The way your talk you are of the very very few that are 150. Yes I am stressed right now. Neither me nor my friends have a chance in hell with the current system. I don't mind if one screws me over. My loved one is another story. Say what you want about me I don't mind. Fact remains a bunch of my friends who I hang out with in real life are being :) over. I don't care about me. You mess with my love ones tho and upset them and your gonna see how bad big brother is.

Wow, did you really just threaten me on the forums, okay, I'm sorry, but when the hell did I threaten any of your "loved" ones :). Seriously, you got raging issues. Chill out, go to work, come back to the forums when you're thinking more logically.

A soap opera I can read from work!

Yo, KMAYDNTK, while I agree with you that RE could use some tweaks, you're going about it the wrong way and hurting your own cause. Just chill my man.

As for the collapse of this thread, a sub-forum has been announced, how long does it take to create? There's lots of passion here...probably too much for the front page of general chat. Besides, I have a lot to say but I don't want to waste it in thread overtaken by ranting, that will probably be locked soon.

Making level difference count for stat resistance/vulnerability still doesn't make sense for woe balance perspective. People higher level and with better gear should have advantages: more stat points, more job points, more HP/SP. That was always a given and it makes sense.

Remove this aspect: Getting stunned(or whatever status) at ~100% chance and for double time because you're 15 levels below someone, regardless of resistance.

LoL yeah. Though, this gives me a sinking feeling.... I was looking forward to renewal actually and even contacted some of my old guildmates to come back.

With this horribly imbalanced, messed up, and buggy game though, I don't think it'll be worth it to rebuild my guild and to bring everyone's gears up to date.

I guess the bugs also felt this sinking feeling that they all came out from their hiding holes in this Titanic.

ok after reading the whole thread i think th ebest sugestion regarding partying and lvl range is this:

have monsters 16lvls higher than you give 200% the base exp, BUT theres a catch, when fighting them either have the flee/hit/damage formulas worked in a way that either the player's stats are halfed or the monster's damage doubled toward the player.
also for every aditional 10 lvls in diference, have theyr exp rise 50% but add again the same formula into the ecuation (ex. if a lvl 100 fights a magmaring, damage and hit is normal, if a lvl 90 fights a magmaring it would require double hit to hit it and would take double the damage a normal player takes, but if it kills it he will get 60% more than a lvl 100, and if its a lvl 80 fights it it will need 4x the hit and ttake 4X the damage but would get 250% of its exp worth).

the point of this is make it greatly more challenging to fight stronger monsters to a point where its imposible to solo, but with the exp boost making it worth to fight an party up to get the job done.

also to avoid abuse and leeching, have the party share range set at the prerenewal range of no more than 10 lvlos of diference where the range set for the monster stats is the average of the partty.

just my 2 cents

Seriously though Heimdaddy, if you're still watching, you've had quite a few pages worth of material to work with, and we're running out of constructive material to post because it's mostly all been covered.

I am curious (along with everyone else) what you're getting from this, and what you might pass on to the devs.

I think a lot of the posts in this thread are dead on about iRO overall, not just about imbalances between classes in Renewal. The GM/CM team should take all the posts here with a grain of salt, considering that the vast majority is quite unhappy with the way the game is right now. I think things like 'favoritism' are completely irrelevant because it's been going on since the dawn of the game and it's something that doesn't make enough of a difference.

The top tier of guilds are able to dominate anyone they wish with very little resistance. Credit them for out-leveling anyone, but I think that even if every guild was stocked full with level 150 characters it wouldn't change much. Small guilds are unable to compete at all due to a lack of item power and numbers they can put forward in WoE. When you limit WoE to a single map, only the best guilds, or the guilds with the best help will obtain castles and that will leave those small guilds with a very sour taste in their mouth. The game has been this way since the Ymir merge, though Valk seems to be pretty diverse in castle ownership. That is just a single issue that can easily be fixed by breaking alliances and forcing guilds to fight against each other. Though guilds could just make pacts to not attack each other, I think that is another thing that would also need to be prevented to make it work.

The issue of many 3rd class skills (and one second class skill that's sucked for 4 years and suddenly made a comeback because it one-shots most players) is that they either:

Do too much damage relative to the HP modifier that most classes have. (I know kRO has a recent patch that fixed this somewhat, but it wasn't enough from what I hear)
examples: Cart Cannon, Hell Plant, Clashing Spiral, Dragon Breath, Firing Trap, Gate of Hell.

or

Make your character unplayable from anywhere between 30 seconds and 5 minutes without giving you any way of resisting or being immune to them.
examples: Magic Mushroom, Masquerade: Ignorance, Masquerade: Gloomy, Manhole, Warg Bite, Extreme Vacuum.

A lot of classes have nothing to counter any of this, and being leveled does not help you. I think there is something wrong when a battle between two 150 players ends in the tenth of a second it takes for someone to cast any one of those skills on the other player. There is no level of thinking or difficulty involved in 3rd class battles. There is also something wrong with being able to completely nullify a character/prevent them from even using their character for set periods of time that are beyond 10 seconds. Skills like Masq: Gloomy and the one that strips wepaon/shield should not bypass Full Chem Protect, especially the latter of the two masquerade skills. Rune Knights, Shadow Chasers and Genetics are vastly beyond all other classes while there are a couple others that have some good tools, they pale in comparison to the top 3. There is no sense of balance in the game from a WoE standpoint right now and that is definitely a large issue that needs to be fixed.

Another thing is the 'event' that occurred during the first Ymir renewal WoE. GMs thought it was a good idea to announce (AN HOUR INTO WOE) that if anyone broke the castle Insurrection was defending at the time (I always forget the number of it) they would receive a free seal roll, while if they defended successfully, they would receive one. I think this was a major fail on the GM teams part considering it was announced while it was already one hour into a WoE that most guilds were skipping to level. I could bring up the issue of the number of guardians a 100 defense fort has after 1 hour but they don't make much of a difference in renewal compared to before renewal. Opening a single WoE realm for a saturday night is just stupid. I would find it hard to believe that the GM team is unaware of the balance in power as far as WoE guilds/alliances is concerned right now. Allowing 5 castles to be taken by the same alliance (3 by the same guild) is just going to further the gap between the guilds at the bottom and the ones at the top.

For those who have leveled to 150 completely solo are definitely being rewarded for their work. Any player over level 140 probably realizes how monotonous leveling is in renewal, and that there is absolutely no variety to leveling areas past 130-ish. The gap in levels for WoE is not an issue, because players who worked for a higher level deserve to be on a higher level from a player that is only level 120. However, if you look at the 15 or so 150s that have emerged within 2/3 weeks of play on ymir, you can tell that they are all using items that very few people have access to. This includes most players above 135 as a whole. Making leveling easier for people who need to party is a must if this game is to survive any longer. Arch Bishops have it real tough compared to the rest of the cast because they are nearly incapable of solo leveling efficiently.

One thing to remember is that a lot of the people who have posted in this thread are high level/tier players and already have a lv150 character they WoE with. Everyone is pretty upset with the way the game is right now.

Well being 150 is one thing but the formula I received from tests of a low level genetic shows that 35k+ isn't possible even with god items as it is only affected by the Genetic's int, Summon Flora level and the base level of the target (From the formula).

Maybe make a relevant build on your Rune Knight.
You're all talk. Remember how you gloated that you were gonna win USRC, but you lost in the final round in under 1 minute?
Maybe the int from your second place sleips will make your dragon's breath hit for more than 2k.
