I'll look into this - that ought to be working.

Can you confirm it's generation AAIStartH.txt and AAIStartM.txt in your Ragnarok Online folder? (just to check off the easy possibilities).

Something funky with homun S skill casting or needle of paralyses. I have a tactic set up for firelocks to supposedly "use skills once: level 5", and use homun S skills so my sera should hit the firelock with it once. The tactic generated by the config is:

The problem is the homunculus is using needle more than once per mob, wasting SP. 

 

Am I missing something? 

 

 

EDIT: on further investigation, both firelocks and poison toads will be hit TWICE when "use skill once: level 5" is selected.  It does not matter if it is set to use S skills or non-S skills only, both ways will hit TWICE.    

Snipe options also do not matter, snipe can be either allowed or not allowed and the behavior does not change.

Hi,

 

I have the current azzyai 1.551. After last maint or so i noticed the ksing option isn't working properly. My homu won't ks when I'm homu leveling with my friend. Any idea of how to fix this?

Can you try to snag a traceai of this? Skill selection is exhaustively logged in trace, and should point right at the problem.

Ok Azzy, heres the trace. It is against one poison toad and then one firelock, I started the trace, then called the homunculus, it bolted the toad twice and killed it with normal attacks, then bolted the firelock twice and killed it with normal attacks:

Did it ever used to work?

It looks like the fact that the skill was used in chase_st isn't recognized while in attack_st. I'll have to look into why, but that makes me think it's not a new bug - I haven't touched that code in ages.

I don't know if it used to work or not, I've only leveled my cat in the last few years, could it be related to how I reported bolts being used all the time when sonic claw only was set on eleanor?

Humm is there anyway to avoid the use of "Blood Lust" on the Amistr humu
Since have a 15min reuse I would really like to use it when I want

(was looking at the .exe but didnt find "usebloodlust" or something :V)

UseOffensiveBuff / UseDefensiveBuff for pre-S skills.

It wasn't until HomunS that I started putting individual options for all the skills.

Hey Dr. Azzy thanks for all the great work you do really appriciate it. I can't for the life of me get my Deiter to auto cast Volcanic Ash since the updated skill and you added it into the ai. Do you have any suggestions?

Hm...

 

You need to have UseDieterVolcanicAsh enabled, and you need to have the Debuff tactic set (either in a monster-specific tactic for the stuff you're fighting, or the default tactic). 

 

Do you have that set up? 

 

If you do, and it still won't work, post your config files (H_config, H_tactics) and AAIStartH.txt.

Open in notepad and copy/paste the big long mess into forum post (put it in a quote or code block, for readability), or put them into a zip file and upload to your favorite file hosting site and post the link.

You have the monster-specific tactics for all the monsters that spawn there set to never use debuffs, and monster-specific tactics always override the default tactic. If someone polymorphed a monster down there, I would expect your homun to use ash on it, but right now, it's set to not use ash on all the default monsters in OD2.

Hey Azzy, 

I was just wondering if Filir in the AI ever had a setting for Moonlight? My filir seems to be using level 3 Moonlight, but I wish it to use a higher level moonlight for an easier 1 hit kill. I've tried to scan through the customization list but couldn't find anything.

Humm is there anyway to avoid the use of "Blood Lust" on the Amistr humu
Since have a 15min reuse I would really like to use it when I want

(was looking at the .exe but didnt find "usebloodlust" or something :V)

 

UseOffensiveBuff / UseDefensiveBuff for pre-S skills.

It wasn't until HomunS that I started putting individual options for all the skills.

 

will use offensive buff work on filir bloodlust too? mine doesnt cast it with offensive buff on :(

Oh you have a filir with bloodlust? Lucky bastard! Unfortunately, AzzyAI doesn't have builtin support for this (there's no call to check what skills the homun has - we do it by looking at what kind of homun it is. Of course, when you have homuns with skills they're not supposed to have, that logic doesn't work). The most annoying part is that filir already has 2 buffs (otherwise it would be trivial), so it's not as simple of a mod.

Thanks for clearing that up. I wish i could get more use out of it as i wasted it  :p_cry:

 

Lucky but stupid. I had an old low level pre-evolved filir from way back.. I resumed playing a month ago and assumed that all filir normally had blood lust now.  Mutated it into a sera before i found out my mistake. Regret not mutating into an eleanor to actually make use of it.. pain killer sounded too good at the time :ani_shy:

Fixing some issues for 1.56:

 

Fixed issue with opportunistic targeting letting rescuers get distracted

 

Fixed issue with the pauses when you get stuck in animation causing problems with predictive chase movement. 

 

 

Ok Azzy, heres the trace. It is against one poison toad and then one firelock, I started the trace, then called the homunculus, it bolted the toad twice and killed it with normal attacks, then bolted the firelock twice and killed it with normal attacks:

This has been fixed for 1.56. Issue was probably same as old issue (ore related, in any event). There were actually 2 bugs

 

The first one was that we were resetting the count of skill uses on a monster when we moved from chase to attack. 

 

The second one was that we were *setting* the count to 1 after using a skill during chase. It should be incremented by 1.

 

 

Still gotta investigate why someone reports live mob id not working, and we have reports of it ceasing to rebuff until vap+relog which I'm trying to get debug info for.
