Being 4 years behind in updates isn't doing much for iRO, but that's really up to kRO to give us what we need to remain viable.

I wasn't saying its fault solely on iRO and it is mostly because communication between kRO and iRO is somehow insanely difficult. Also that licensing is really weird( 1+ years delay on update due to translation and optimizing reason) because iRO client is basically running on same client as kRO. But all i can do is just making assumptions. So its just really depends on iRO to figure out better marketing model.

well what did they do in 2008?  they could always buy back shares, that would drive the price up.

F2P server on kRO opened early 2008(May I believe). Which made cocurrent users spike up.

I brought up this question on the Tiki Tuesday once and this is what Oda had to say on the matter:

2. Does kRO know that they are killing the success of RO in other regions (including us) by not keeping them up-to-date with updates? Do they honestly not care since they're keeping other official servers years behind in updates?

kRO is deeply committed to the health of Ragnarok Online and their partners in various territories. Unfortunately as there are several different territories they service the game is not as update to date as we would like. This is something we have been working on addressing with them this year and will continue to do so going forward.

It remains to be seen if kRO understands the severity of the situation or if maybe jRO's the reason behind why everything's so disorganized.

GRVY has been consistently underperforming in a more severe fashion for the past 4 years at least.

http://www.marketwat...cials/cash-flow

And they don't even file a 10-k with the SEC.

Fortunately for the company to operate as it does now it obviously doesn't require much equity from stock value.

If they are cool with losing like 17m per year then they can remain in operation for like 4 more years :D

For nerds:

http://globaldocumen....msdoc/original

Enjoy

"The decrease in revenues in 2013 was primarily due to: (i) decreased royalties and license fees from Ragnarok Online in Japan; (ii) decrease in revenues from Finding Neverland Online in Korea; and (iii) decreased revenues from Ragnarok Odyssey. The decrease in revenues in 2013 was partially offset by increased revenues from mobiles games and applications, revenues from Ragnarok Online II, which was launched in Singapore, Malaysia, the United States, Canada, Indonesia, Thailand and 53 other countries and markets during 2013, and revenues from Ragnarok Online in China where the game was relaunched in February 2013. Our cost of revenues for 2013 increased as compared to 2012 mainly due to increased commissions paid related to services provided to third parties. Our operating expenses for 2013 decreased as compared to 2012 mostly due to decreased impairment losses on intangible assets and goodwill, advertising expenses and R&D expenses. "

Edit: Holy fawkin shiiiiiiit: " The cost of revenues from the payments to Mr. Myoung-Jin Lee was Won 284 million (US$269 thousand) for 2013 and Won 388 million for 2012. This agreement expires in January 2033."

i love how they include "intagible assets" in their valuations. "We lost less this year on our intangibles than last year, so expenses are down"

No, nobody has any money basically. Gravity interactive (and 3 other subsidiary companys, mostly Korean) belong to Gravity Co., which is owned by Gung Ho Entertainment. The Parent company's financials are consolidated with their subsidiaries, and are operating at a loss, primarily because their selling and administration expenses alone exceed their gross profit (not to mention all other expenses.

Imagine you own a lemonade stand, You sell lemonade for $3 per glass, it costs you $2 per glass to make. You made $1 Gross profit. Whoohoo! EXCEPT it costs $100 per hour to hire someone to do that job, and they only sell 75 glasses per hour tops.

Unfortunately automotive repair programs don't teach you how to run a gaming company.

So apparently they have been listed on another nasdaq index and have been granted another 180 day grace period to get their shares to the minimum price of 1.00.
