Suggestion

Create a mid week WoE on Classic server, similar to Renewal's WoE TE.

-Two castles open only (the two you close for regular WoE 2's). This will also make it so you wont have to redo all WoE 2 castle treasures. Valf 1 and Juno 1

-1 hour long instead of 2 hours

-Any and all classes (including trans)

-Disable all MVP cards and God Items

-Disable guardians

-Can't make bryns or asprikas off of econ (or could flip it and make this the only way, which would make econ'ing hard with only 2 castles open)

-Does not replace the other WoE's

Why do this?

There are tens of thousands of players who love the game mechanics of the Classic server. However, for whatever reasons, these players do not wish to play here currently due to a whole mess of reasons. The full list of exact reasons are not important though, the major difference to consider is that these players dislike playing with god items/mvp cards. This could capture these players attention and get them to try out the server. From there the players will need to level, purchase gear, and supply themselves. iRO is actually much easier to do all of those things then other places, so these players may enjoy there time here. They could transition into participating in other WoE's and also enjoy more of the game.

However, we need to give them a reason to log into the server for the chance of any of those things to happen.

Benefits of this?

-Would create short, yet high action WoE's with only 2 castles open

-Potential of attracting lots of players new to this server from other places

-Would be a lot of fun

-More KP sales due to more food being needed in WoE

-1 hour duration wouldn't hurt "established guilds" when it comes to supply issues

-An amazing way to promote the Classic server

In depth look at it all...

-Two castles open only (the two you close for regular WoE 2's). This will also make it so you wont have to redo all WoE 2 castle treasures.

With the announcement of reduced WoE 2 castles (10>8) this will causes treasure issues. This is an easy fix for that problem. The real amazing part of this will be having only two castles open. This will force action and fights, which is exactly what our target audience wants and a surprising number of current players on Classic want.

-1 hour long instead of 2 hours

This will allow the WoE to not be a boring and long two hour process if players chose to defend. It will also drastically lighten the burden of supplies for "established" guilds who wish to participate. It will also make it less heavy of a burden for newer guilds who are joining the server to meet supply demands.

-Any and all classes (including trans)

It has to have trans. It can not be pre-trans. This is of extreme importance. For the target audience to be willing to come, we have to provide the setting. Also, WoE 2 castles would be boring as hell with pretrans. Must be trans or trash this idea.

-Disable all MVP cards and God Items

This is fairly obvious. Some people are back and forth on this topic. Since it will not effect WoE 1 items at all and minimally effect WoE 2, it shouldn't be a big deal. This is a great marketing point as well and the whole reason to do this WoE. Again, if your not going to do this then trash this idea. It would also allow WoE1/2 to remain untouched as some players would prefer well still satisfying the want of others for "vanilla" WoEs.

-Disable guardians

Interesting idea. I could see it going either way, however it would encourage more action then door precasting. I could careless, figured I'd throw it in though.

-Can't make bryns or asprikas off of econ (or could flip it and make this the only way, which would make econ'ing hard with only 2 castles open)

Pros/Cons of not making gods off of econ: Make it so that "established" guilds do not have to participate in this WoE to create WoE 2 gods. Also, it made sense since this is a "practice woe".

Pros/Cons of only making gods off of econs from WoE: Practice Edition: Put simply, getting a 100 econ for in regular WoE 2 is as easy as logging in a breaker and taking the fort solo. It is silly how easy it is due to sheer number of castles and econ creeping up. By making WoE Practice the only way to create Asprika/Bryns (2 castles 1 for each) it would actually create a ton of competition! It would make WoE 2 a farmfest, although let's be honest it already is...

-An amazing way to promote the Classic server

I have been saying this for a while. The only way that Classic's pop will grow is.... 1. brand new players (not super common, they should really go to renewal), 2. old players coming back (not super common, but could happen), or 3. by pulling players from other servers that have combine populations of tens of thousands of players (most logical way to boost pop).

Do this WoE, get players to LOG INTO THE SERVER. See if it flourishes from there, but it isn't going to hurt the server at all lmfao.

Small points not to get hung up on would include time/day of WoE. Could always switch days with another woe or pick times ect. Those are small details to be worked out.... Community voting would be best for times/day.

This'll just be Renewal's WoE:TE all over again. Even the rules you've outlined here are similar.

It'll be exciting for 2 weeks, then the established guilds (most likely just singular) will find workarounds to leverage their power, push literally everyone else out of the castles and turn it into an empty farmfest. Even fewer people will be logging on for it as 2 castles gives newbies zero wriggle room to get in and be competitive, since the established will be able to set up and monopolise without spreading themselves thin enough to be brute-forced out.

My guild would come back if this was implemented. That's roughly 20-25 people, maybe more.

this is a realistic marketing approach that I believe has a better chance then other ideas to boost population. Please keep it on that.

Okay, this is a suggestion topic right? Bringing up guilds shenanigans and how guild x and y is illegit is not needed here. Please post within topic and this will survive without going through force edits. Thank you.

So tell me, what specifics of this proposal do you most agree with? What are the key points here that would draw yourself and your guild back to this server, beyond what is presently being done in regular WoEs?

I'm interested to hear what it is that ex-players would return for.

If those harassers come back I'm leaving.

IS THAT INOFFENSIVE ENOUGH FOR YOU CINNAMOD? AM I ALLOWED TO EXPRESS WHAT I THINK AND FEEL?

The fact is this a choreographed topic by the same group that keep trying to get me banned.

Regardless, this would probably not work out as it would dilute the woe population further.

If people can't handle can't handle being on topic please refrain from posting here. People have said countless times population is a problem and people are speaking up about guilds (not a couple of players) returning. If you have better ideas on marketing to get players or guilds to return please post it in your own thread. No reason for these unproven accusations and unwelcoming personal insults to be here. Go somewhere else if you do not wish to be proactive or wish to personally insult potential returning player base. All that posting this random drama here is accomplishing is showing how toxic the current community can be.

No wonder nothing can get done on iRO :(

That's the only serious sentence since the mid posted. I fail to see that when there is confirmed guilds that would return along with a door being wide opened for additional population. All about the hype.

as it stands your current proposal would bring one maybe 2 guilds to the server to woe against eachother?

did I miss something?

Yes. That's one or two guilds that will also spread the word to other guilds about the server. Our server has high rates, easy to level, newbie friendly, supply is easy, and it has longevity. That is free advertisement and offering a better setup then most other places. So that is 1-2 guilds with the potential of a lot more. By taking no chances we are securing a slow decline in population. This offers a positive change that offers confirmed players back with a large possibility of getting drastically more. Seems like a logical thing to me.

Also, those 1-2 guilds would have more actual players then all of the current guilds, except for 1. We need to get people to log into the server.

I'm interested to hear what it is that ex-players would return for.

The disabling of god items and mvp cards during woe.  It will put everyone on same playing field and makes winning fights more about playing skill rather than "That guild has fallen bishups, so that's why we are losing". New players or guilds would only have  to spend weeks and not years to have equivalent gears to everyone else.

Implementing this in a 3rd woe is a good compromise for people who want to woe to stay the same.

If current established guilds choose not to the 3rd woe, then that's fine. There seems to be enough interest in this to have a decent turnout.

I couldn't compete so I want the prizes taken away from the winners

But it'll dilute real WoE really badly.

Why is it false?

And it's productive, it's a legit concern. (at least its more productive than your posts where you just reply with "dumb")

This has the potential to be a lot of fun. It won't -_- up the normal woes and it gives other people who have not woed in frekin moooooooonths (and have no plan to any time ever) a chance to have a good time. It kind of reminds me of TE on renewal (which is super fun and totally chill and I love it)

I WANT THIS

Why is it not true? Do you really think people people won't opt out of one woe to play the other? (I heard you're trying to convince some to do so~~~~)

But unless you can see into the future and read minds, you certainly can't say it won't happen.

I understand you never want to answer to anything and that's ok. I need to recall and regroup for this thread. Apparently I can't solo it.
