since when is owning god items not mostly about bragging rights? its super obvious when you see a character using them, the only reason you'd try to hide ownership is if you are embarrassed about how you obtained them, ie a nobody player that sells tons of WPE (or just rmt/zeny buying) and now is seen having 1.0s I could understand as being uncomfortable for that guy, but get over it. They can't even be traded which is super retarded, so it's not like you're losing some kind of trade negotiations by people knowing what you have...

I understand why people would want to see them. I do, more so then most people posting here know. I just don't think it's an appropriate move to show the actual owner. The actual owner (name attached) means very little, it puts targets on players heads (scam targets), it has already been made public durring creation (kind of), and it's part of the strategy of the game.

Want to check for duped gods? Have the GM team run a check. Doesn't need to be public.

Want to see total number of gods in game? That isn't a bad thing, but no names attached. Just say 12 Meg, 19 hammers, ect.

Want to prove or not prove how many God items a guild uses by making a list of ownership? That doesn't work, friend/people let others use gods all the time for woe, pvp, pvm, mvp ect. That has no meaning to how many gods a single guild *could* use. The guild might own 2 and borrow 3 more. I've temped into random guilds on "unknown" characters and passed out gods (megs/hammers ect). Those guilds don't own any, but we're able to use them.

The veiled accusation here was that gods are duped or somehow appear at perhaps a corrupt GM's will? If that is a problem on your server, it sounds like Xellie is making a suggestion to root it out.

Do you see how much you learned about WHO owns those items? You can't attach more than one god per character anyway...

 

I don't think it should be my job to constantly spell out how many Gods a single group owns because it's creating unnecessary fear in other guilds / making people not want to play the game.

 

Worried about "privacy"? attach it to a stupid char like I do.

Worried about scams? It's a god item that expires every month. You will get it back. Comedy option, don't be a fool.

Worried about people punking you down in WoE? Deal with it.

 

I don't see why a player like I should have to take the responsibility for an item that shouldn'thaveapersonalowneranyway I don't own, just created. Man up, grow a pair, stop being a baby, deal with it.

This is what we have come down to not worried about bringing in players duped gods is the hot ticket issue with you this week see if they can dupe players an if thy can ill cut them a check for there work.

People should stop talking and gm's must start talking, no point in arguing how things must be done w/o a gm's consent. And checking for the duped god's is a must but, i don't know if there must be a public announcement on who has a god item or what god they own, its better for the gm's to see what people have and how legit they are and delete the fake ones. I don't believe the whole server must be getting info about the ownership's of the god's.
