Welcome back again! Dawnte and Myzery here to bring you another wonderful contest.

With Thanksgiving quickly approaching, it gives us the perfect opportunity to focus on food!

 

 

The focus will be on creating your very own Ragnarok themed dish.

 

 

 

 

 

Rules and explanation:

 

 

This contest begins on November 2nd and will end on November 27th at 11:59 PM PST.

 

This contest is open to all servers, so Classic players are encouraged to join in too!

 

There will be two categories in this event.

The first category will be physically cooking or making a food item (This includes drinks, desserts, etc.) and the second category will be illustration where you draw a food item.

 

For this contest, you will be tasked with creating a NEW Ragnarok themed dish.

For example, you could make "Prontera Pancakes" - You would either draw them or cook them and take a photo of them.

To prevent plagiarism, we request that if you choose to cook a dish, you include a piece of paper with your name on it present in the photo.

 

You may also choose to create an effect for your dish.

For example, Prontera Pancakes - +2 agi, increases movement speed for 1 minute.

This is not mandatory, but one winner who includes a reasonable effect for their dish will have it submitted to kRO to be make into an in game item!

If you choose to do this, please make sure that the effect isn't over the top or it won't be considered.

 

All submissions must be new for this contest and all dishes must be original, which means no food items that currently exist in Rune Midgard.

The top 3 people from each category will receive a Brazil Twin Ribbon!

Chocolate Covered Savage Bebe Bacon

 

 

All Stats + 2 for 5 minutes.

 

I may draw an image for it... Not sure yet. I can't draw to save my life....

 

 

How it was made:

First you start off with the hardest step... Getting the raw bacon.

 

 

 

After that, get some baking chocolate, and wax paper.

 

 

 

Next step is to cook the bacon, either stove top or microwave.

 

 

After the bacon is cooked we need to put it aside and melt the chocolate. Microwave or stove top.

 

First we break up the chocolate into a bowl, then stir it while it is melting.

 

 

 

After melting the chocolate, stir it until there are no lumps. 

 

 

Next up is coating the bacon in chocolate then putting it on wax paper.

 

 

Once you have covered the bacon in chocolate put them in the refrigerator till they are solid.

 

 

Take out and break off any excess chocolate if needed.

Icy Dolomedes

 

Dessert from El Dicastes...

Description: Antidote made by lucia7 to cure venomous sticky webs from Dolomedes. A beautiful dessert from "El Dicastes" (Cures Fiberlock status/traps and increase resistance from insect for 20 seconds.)

How to make Icy Dolomedes :

Gather up stuff, like Jello and cups...

 

Homemade blueberry Ice cream, there ain't no blueberry Ice cream at the store so i had to make my own

 

 

Make the Jello then put the sugar crystals on the cup

 

 

Cut the Jello crystal style baby

 

 

Then you put them straws, make it look like Dolomedes

Inspired the the Stapo(s) of Veins, the 'ROCK' pastries

 

Rock pastries : Temporarily changes the consumer into a Stapo with increased resistance to wind element attacks by 5% for 10 minutes

(there's an image of the entry with my name in the spoilers, this one is without for show  )

 

How to make :

Disclaimer : In certain pictures you will see two right hands, pls do not be alarmed. I am not an alien, that's just my mum helping me pour in the ingredients while i take the shot.

 

1. For these pastries you'd need to prepare the following ingredients:

-Flour

-Butter

-Sugar

-Eggs (only the yolk is needed)

-Toppings of your choice (for this batch i used raisins coz it's a family fav. feel free to replace them with choco chips or other dried fruits)

(toppings are added here to represent the nature of the stapos, lil looters always having their lil insides filled with goodies)

-Milk

 

2. Add the butter in the flour and use the tips of your hands to mix them together. Your mixture should end up as follows :

 

3. Add in the toppings of your choice and mix well.

 

 

4. The next step would be to add in the egg yolk. Again repeat the same step as above with your hands until it is all 'clumped' together. If egg yolks are insufficient 

    to make the mixture stick together then add milk (at your own digression) a little at a time and continue kneading until a dough is formed.

 

5. Start forming your little Stapos (balls of dough) and place them on a oiled baking tray.

 

6. Let bake for 20 minutes at 200 degrees

 

7.Let cool and your lil Stapo(s) are ready to serve

Guys, I dunno which one of my ideas to pick as my submission. :< Help, please. I have two people voting on the Nacho Sombrero, but that's a headgear so I dunno if it counts for the contest since it's not a consumable (it's an item that generates a consumable).

Thanks, I wanted to make the cup into something the Umbalans use, but all I was able to find in Umbala were barrels and imported pottery. Since they have better access to wood material than clay, I assume their drinkware would be a wooden cup of some sort. Tried to steer away from the typical stein cups you usually see root beer advertised in since that's overdone.

Inspired by Bakonawa attack....


Bakonawa Spicy Balls
Effect: Dispell all buff and stats. Add a low chance to add Critical Wound for 1 minute.

1KG mince meat, chopped onion, flour, salt, pepper. Make balls.


Chopped carrot.


Put the onion into the pot and stir fry with a bit oil.


Put tomato paste and some of diced tomato. Put the chopped carrot in as well. Don't forget to put crushed dry chilli otherwise it won't be SPICY BALLS.


Put some herbs. In this case I put Oregano to give great smell and flavour in the sauce. Simmer on low~medium heat until the balls firm (about 30 min).


Ready to eat with rice bread or only balls itself if you like.

The balls look scrumptious! /rice
