Rarity doesn't balance make. If there's one person or 10 people in izlude pvp with ehat is an instant cast spamnable aoe that does more damage than gfist its not fun either way for the have nots. If public mvps are dominated competition wise by that one person and the friends they loan the equip to, its unfun and demoralizing, regardless of how lucky that person had to be to grt those cards. If that person quits and gives the card to their bff, then you got somebody with an unfair advantage over you that didn't even earn it. How is this good gane design?

Well, back in the old days, when godly started to be available to create, it was very "unbalanced" since u could get 200 str when everyone else had 120. Instant Cast when everyone else had 1 ~ 1,5 sec cast time.

And  GTB/GR pre-transclass was even worse, since nobody could kill someone with those cards.

 

Anw, those new cards are OP, sure, but we have several examples that the item/card could be easier to get  and waaaaaaaaaay more OP.

so, im not surprised :c

The cards are too powerful, but at least for trappers the MVP True Cecil card or w/e does apply increased skill damage by 200%, which to me translates as all skills deal 200% more damage, so that would impact traps as well in that case.

The cards are too powerful, but at least for trappers the MVP True Cecil card or w/e does apply increased skill damage by 200%, which to me translates as all skills deal 200% more damage, so that would impact traps as well in that case.


It just bad wording...

It'd be "if +10 or higher, additional +100% with <previously mentioned skill>" if written properly.

I am not sure but I think it is something like, take cross impact as example

1500%

The card grants 100% damage increase

1500x2=3000%

at +10 refine, it adds 200% skill damage

(1500+200)x2=3400%

 

This is how I understand it.

I would be against nerfing the effect of some of these cards simply because people might think they are too OP. New content comes with more challenge and difficulty. So we need better gears/cards to make things even, at least better than what we currently have. Idk why people are always so happy with 5/10% and obsolete gears. kRO and jRO have OP stuff. And they are not closing. Why we can't ? I'm not suggesting WP should add Tao Gunka card in CashShop, make it accessible to everyone and destroy the server. We don't know yet how hard It will be getting one of these new cards but probably harder than bio3. Why would someone farm a True BIO MVP for a 10% dmg increase on CC when anyone can double that with a cheap TI card. It's not like the whole Rune Midgard will be suddenly running on God mode. How many of us for example have a legit KK mvp card? Or even LK. Also the chances of dropping one of those could be harder than making a god set. Please make them worth lol. 200% CC !! I will probably never have one but that's exactly what motivates players to keep grinding. For a reason. To be on Top.

 

But yea I'd suggest WP carefully balance the effects among all classes. Like 200% CC and 200% Hell Inferno is not the same. Though 200% CL would be electrifying..

Reverberation
Feint bomb
Etc?

These skills NEED +800% just to be as good as cart cannon ALREADY IS, so does it make sense to you that genetic, gx, and royal guard are being singled out here as "lolol lets make these class the one ones worth playing".

There is so much mental failure here on anyone defending that card that my vision is blurring from trying to understand that perspective.

I am not sure but I think it is something like, take cross impact as example

1500%

The card grants 100% damage increase

1500x2=3000%

at +10 refine, it adds 200% skill damage

(1500+200)x2=3400%

 

This is how I understand it.


its actually 2187,5% base damage, at 175, since its affected by base lvl

with the card at +0~9 weapon = 2187,5% x2 (x100%+100%)
with the card at +10 weapon = 2187,5% x3 (x100%+200%)
thats how it works

Change cart cannon to cart tornado, cross impact to envenom (lol), and vanishing point to trampling or something and it'd all be fine w/ those mvp card :v

Actually, these are REALLY nice things :v So nice, players are mad at how nice they are. It's like that person that's so good intentioned, you hate but don't really have a reason to, except your jealously at their unconditional love for others. :v

Already tried all those. But never again. No wonder why. I love gx's and trust me I still don't like genetics. But then iRO just forced me accept the way It is. I agree with you that a serious rebalance is required before implementing each one of those. I was surprised too. 200% CC?! But Lowering to 10% won't make it any better than AK or w/e we have now, so farming it would be pointless. Ok, keeping at 200% would be unfair to our favorite class. That's why carefully balance according to class/skill. Something that never happens. It's not our fault that they messed up from the beginning. Otherwise I would have never created my genetic. Or my most wanted card would be a HP card and not LK. But I don't think they will add these cards until 2020. 200% CC won't happen either for sure. I see your point and well..I shouldn't upvote for 200% CC. But I'm tempted. So at least make it worth the challenge. But whatever the effects for iRO, I'm pretty sure CC would still be superior than most skills you mentioned. That's why you just suggested sw to Cart tornado lol !

Ever solo Faceworm? ET completely? Solo the hardest MVPs even Bio MVPs? --- or shoot, even duo,trio full party all of these?

 

I don't think you even know the challenging content we already have. 

 

 

As for the rest of this discussion, until I see a few WL's rolling around with HWK cards to the point of where an MVP thats existed 10 years becomes a problem, lets not worry about a 'problem' that we might have in 10 years.

Gx with LK card is super broken, yet i never saw no one complaining about it. Why? Because of the extreme rarity of the card. And we even have bio4 instance to have more chances to get cards, we dont even know nothing about bio5 yet. What if they spawn randomly like bio3 ones, but in a higher cooldown, not mentioning they and the map mob is waaaaaay tougher than bio3.
100~200% is tottaly worth the challenge ans rarity.
I dont agree with the mob cards tho, just like when eclage cards arrive making most of previous garment cards obsolete, same will happen here, but in a whole different level.

The LK card is VERY powerful, but it has it's drawbacks.

 

The MVP cards in this case have NONE and some of the skills effected are ones that didn't need buffs (Charged Arrow, CC and Cross Impact*** specifically).
