IRO1 Classic Weekly Maintenance is Delayed until Friday the 23rd

 

Quests

• The next new Headgear quest, the Leo Crown, is available. Speak to Frank in Morocc (who has moved to his own tent at 118, 93). Certificates can be found in the treasure caches.
  • To create this headgear you'll need the following:
    • 5 Gold
    • 50 2carat Diamonds
    • 250 3carat Diamond
    • 15 Peridot
    • 1000 Zeny
    • 1 Leo Crown Certificate

 

 

​Events

• The Rockridge themed event continues!
  • Cow Raiders and their Coyote are invading Hugel! This event continues for one more week!
  • These monsters will drop items and coins that will become useful starting next week so hold on to them!
    • Items dropped by the bandits can be exchanged for Rockridge Coins at the Waco Kid. He can be found at the dock of Hugel.

• 25 Worn Revolvers can be exchanged for 1 Rockridge Coin
• 25 Buffalo Bandit Manes can be exchanged for 1 Rockridge Coin
• 50 Crude Ammo can be exchanged for 1 Rockridge Coin

• The Recyclatron and Hank (A forger) can be found near Frank's hat hut.
  • The Recyclatron takes unwanted Headgear certificates and gives Forgery Tokens in exchange. Speak to it for more details.
  • Hank takes Forgery Tokens and, in conjunction with a Blank Certificate, will forge the desired Headgear certificate. Speak to him for more details.
    • At this time the Blank Certificate will only be available in the Kafra Events Store for 100 KP. When the full Treasure Cache update launches they will also be available there.

Maybe I missed something but am pretty sure for the glorious suit to make I immune to freeze it requires a glorious muffler just FYI might want to add it to the shop and why no rings:edit
Also the coins drop at a extreanly low rate for a 2 week event no one can gather card rate coins in that time frame for a set be more logical in implementing items please

So KvM armor and shoes, but no muffler. Good choice. The full set provides insane demi-human resist which was really rather OP back in old classic. Same goes for rings, they were too strong.

In an hour of hunting those mobs in a goditem decked VIP character I didn't get a single coin.

Also the popularized/mass produced stuff was cheaper for a reason.

 

edit: WHY do you keep putting ygg items in as a go to prize? There's so many of them on the server, why not do something like mega resist pots or mental potions or the like? Or EDP mats... or level 10 food ingredients...?

So I hear these coins are card rate drops? And you need 500 by next week for one item? Please, tell me I'm wrong. i've had enough trouble getting 200 pieces of egg shell for one of the cert hats and that's like a 9% drop. I'm not saying I want to finish either of these in half an hour but i've spent a few hours on stream doing wood goblins and i've only got 110. that's over a few weeks of whenever i get around to hunting them.

 

perhaps reconsider the length of this event, the drop rate of the coins, or the prices of the items, or all three i dunno, cause this doesn't seem reasonable. i mean, i'm personally more interested in gum but not like this vOv

You can get more coins by turning the other items the bandits drop in to the Waco Kid.

even with the other item ti's with everything i've farmed over the last week i have 20 coins..... and i need 1000+ ? it would take me about 250 hours of gameplay to accomplish this. so take away the 5 hours i've put in. that's 245 hours. and we have one week. or 168 hours if you never sleep/work/take a leak. -30 hours so i can work is 138, -sleep is 82 hours, -eating, living, ect. is 62 hours.... 62 hours to do 245 hours worth of farming.  so my questions are...

on a more serious note... do you just pick arbitrary numbers when you come up with this stuff? & do you ever R.O. bro? idk, i just feel like if you had ever played, and actually farmed hard to get stuff, you would have seen this coming.

 

i'm not at all surprised. more upset with myself for thinking something was coming for me to do.

i honestly feel this is a easy way out for the staff and dev team to copp out on putting in kvm making it very unobtainable and saying oh well its the players fault for not trying to get the set when we had it in for that week time span yet the other servers still have several ways to obtain them and there not even best in slot gear anymore for those servers i honestly feel 0 research goes into any of your updates and just be honest with the community at this point that classic just doesn't matter at all to you

Just want to say that I stand with everyone who thinks this way of KVM implementation was NOT a good idea.

EDIT: you know what..... after reading the item descriptions... there not even worth useing if you dont have the three pc set. they have no slots... why would we want them?

Due to feed back the cost of several items was reduced and two new items were added.

This will also not be the last event where such rewards are offered.

basically the glorious items should match eachother in price (Glorious shoes, Glorious suit) and then the popularized ones should match eachother etc.... 

 

In order of value, the glorious items come top, then the popularized items, then the mass production ones. So the values should reflect that.

basically without the muff being available there isnt a point in useing the gear.

 

i do like the inclusion of other consumables

 

the prices are a bit more agreeable.

 

however i still feel we were not giving enough time to complete. and with the entire set not being available, i'm finding it hard to see why i would do it still.

 

please, help me understand.

This event is way better than what Renewal gets. lol

The prices on these things are still a bit nutty though, but if someone wants it bad enough, they will farm it.
Kind of makes impossible to enchant/upgrade the armor unless you get lucky.

honestly with the altered numbers and the monster stats i'm far more in favor of this than i was at first glance, though i'd still look at the event duration. that's still a lotta coins (and time) for a set we might not even be able to complete. a++ on the responsiveness and the design, just gotta tweak numbers now.

 

unrelated: would it be safe to assume those are mental pot/mega res pot boxes? 100 coins for a single pot is no thanks.

@5hour = 20 coins (i'm sure a mobber with AOE can do better, but i play sin so eh...)

 

800coins for the 2 pc i'd need (assuming the garment comes out......)

 

200hours. did i mention i can only play 62 hours a week? 

 

 

 

so, the real event is reporting bots that are farming rockridge loot, right?

KVM items are currently planned to be released through events such as this. There will be more events in the future with more KVM items.

 

As for the potions you get 7 with the purchase. Updated the notes.
