IRO RESTART Maintenance

Fixes:

• Training Grounds Class NPCs will now point players to Hanson instead of the Eden Group Gear
• Updated Dialog in all second class Job Change NPCs
• Bag Seller in Payon will come out of Hiding
• Pecopeco Breeders report that Pecopecos have been trained and are ready for knights.
• Silvervine NPC will start stacking all items
• First Class Job Skill Quests all get revisited (fixing dialog.. it was awkward all around)
• Morroc's Music gets fixed
• Training Ground Kafra/Storage tickets get locked down
• Morroc Fields get their teleport restriction lifted
• Looking into the report about the Arrow Crafting Quest
• Adlebaran Inn Keeper will be more aware of where they are.
• Dye NPC shows up!
• Gift Boxes are being disabled while we clean up some issues with abusers.

Updates:

• Summer Fishing Festival Starts
  • Talk to Westley on the Alberta Docks. The rewards are stuck on the boat but players can start catching their fish to turn in soon!
• Race to Second Job Event Starts
  • Any character that reaches second job during the event will get a unique reward.
  • Distribution will be automatic starting next week and will continue until the event ends on 8/30
• Silvervine System
  • Small handful of headgear quests added
  • Fixing quest descriptions
  • Adding exchange for Silvervine+Elu/Ori for EnrichedOre

What is the silvervine system?

• The silvervine system is a way for players to gain access to item mall items and unique quest items through in game play or trade with other players.

How do I earn silvervine?

• The silvervine cats will offer a serious of tasks that can be completed for a silvervine. In V2 Silvervine can also be purchased with zeny (limitations apply).
• Silvervine Boxes can be purchased from other players that have purchased them in the item mall.

Wait what were those limitations?

• Characters will be limited to the amount of silvervine that can be earn during the month. Currently the plan is that each character can earn about 100 silvervine per month. Silvervine will be account bound so characters on accounts can pool their silvervine earnings. We will be evaluating how silvervine is earned and used to see if we need to change the system.

What can I use the silvervine for?

• Enriched/HD Ore and almost everything that is currently in the item mall.

What will you change in the future?

• Silvervine will be used to complete headgear event quests and some interesting cosmetic option quests we have planned for the future the future.

Aren't you worried about bots?

• We will be monitoring the bot situation for silvervine and adjust the system as needed to meet the needs of the server.

 

 

We are working on getting the Navigation/Maps updated for the server. Also this week we should be able to publish spawn tables so players will know where to go for what monsters.

 

 

 

There is no level penalty set for the following, the drop rates you are experiencing are the natural drop rates of those monsters.

everything looks nice so far, also a suggestion camp could you add more quest for the silvervine system? killing minibosses that just spawn every hour/half hour is very restrictive for the community, it would be good choice something like killing 200-300 or item looting from non boteable monsters for x amount of silvervines

What about the incorrect EXP values on some maps, and elemental and skill attacks from monsters being way too much?

Can you do anything about people abusing the achievement system to farm things like gift boxes?
Bots are already doing it and items like gold overcharge for over 100k zeny, not to mention santa poring card/OPBs/OBBs. You can get 2 boxes in 3-4 minutes with a single account. You also get hundreds of the Kafra tickets from this, but you're already addressing that.

Is this retroactive for characters who are already second job?

This isn't directly game related, but support doesn't currently have the option to select the RE:START / Odin server for ticket submission.

don't know if this is intentional but when you job change to an aco you don't get a weapon?

Normally when I job change i get a weapon; for example when you job change to archer you get a bow.
 

also is it possible that you or astra do a live stream on tiki tuesday explaining how does Silverine work?

Some items which should have a 90%+ with gum are dropping far less.

Definitely need to get drop penalty removed, it's actually insane. The only reason its been able to slide so long is people are too low level to realize it exists. Getting zero NPC loot and gear from monsters while using gum because you're level 80 and they're level 30 is stupid.

Yeah, it's pretty cancerous and makes farming pointless. Some of the most advantageous monsters to farm are lower lvl and others that would naturally be good to lvl on (stings) just aren't worth it because of the xp.
The drop penalty needs to be fixed with the next maint or people will stop playing. It's pretty hard for people starting out to even sustain themselves with potions in a lot of cases.

One might wonder how some would actually get all these card drops from if the drop penalty is as bad as it is.

 

I've personally leveled to 66 and I've only gotten one card out of all the farming (use of bubblegums included).

Please, need to start to think in a solution of boting, i don't  want a second ver of the r enewal server where half of the players are bots. I really like the moments i've been passing with my guildmates exploring and trying to get rare items so i don't want to see that ruined again.

This is intentional. You can make the "Acolyte Training Quest", for getting a weapon / staff. Or buy a Club at the Church of Prontera.

• Looking into the report about the Arrow Crafting Quest

 

Arrow Crafting quest is working, although I found two issues.

 

First, not many people know that the requirement for  41 Tough Scalelike Stem was replaced. The quest currently calls for 41 Pointed Scales. 

 

Second, the NPC Roberto is located in the original location, morocc 121, 109, but he's under an assumed identity.
