The nerf doesnt really kill Gen. Gen is still OP af ... but GX is just god tire now until cap fix arrives lol

The no converter update is definitely a nerf, while no elemental cannon ball double damage is actually more like a bug fix to me.
And there will always be a place for Gene however hard CC is nerfed, ppls need FCP for instances and bio 4/5 dont they?

From what Ash explained to me, it does nothing to address the elemental modifier at the end of the cart cannon formula, so no it really isn't a fix.

i always though the nerf was that endow gets priority over cannon balls, so even if you use an elemental cannon ball if your weapon have fire element you'll deal fire damage. Wasn't it? That change made pyroclastic and unoptimal crimson maces bleh

Exactly, just recorded on chaos server, aspersio + holy cannon ball doesn't affect CC damage, never did, that's an Arm Cannon feature.

It will not, Gene’s can complete most instances easily with or without CC nerf, not mentioning that there are also a good number of genes who prefer acid bomb which is not getting nerfed
Good to know I guess. The problem with AB is that it is costly, unlike CC where you can get unlimited balls anytime.

Wait so elemental modifier still works? No one cares about the holy + holy double modifier for Arm Cannon. The impact wasn't game breaking. Could be consider a buff for them.
Thats good then, means i can still deal 1.5-2x dmg using converters. As for Holy/Holy.... we don't need that, not with Abyss Dress around anyway.

According to KRO. CC no longer be endowed twice. Only weaponAtk+EquipAtk are endowed.
pretty much like Sigma said, your damage will be decreased by half or so
but it wont affect instance that much, only leveling phase getting harder a bit.
you cant use converter / elemental weapon anymore, it wont affect the CC
its fixed from your cannonball, Neutral, Shadow and Holy but there is also a way to enchant it becoming Half-Fire by using Pyroclastic
another change is you cannot AFK level your homun also change on Sera's Pain Killer which is decreased effect but increased duration.
as for Mechanic's double elemental modifier, it will eventually get fixed as well

Can you elaborate on this part? I don’t seem to remember sera will be nerfed in the update from the earlier thread, thought all homunculus will be buffed instead...

afaik it should be with Neutral ball ? on patch note , it says they are giving gene fire elemental but just half of it when using lv 10 Pyroclastic

im clearly confused then, which tests regarding that CC interaction lead to that conclusion? O.o

there is no further info about that, it says decreased effect but increased the duration
the rest skill is buffed.

the current CC the modifier endowed twice
do test for me, use neutral Bash to monster with 200% weakness to Holy, record the damage
then do Holy Bash , record it also
now , use neutral CC to that, record the damage
then Holy CC, also record
upload your samples here
Always test with full gear. dont forget

CC (and Arm Cannon) will be fixed to be the same mechanism.
1. Skill element depends on cannon ball 'only'. Cannon ball's element 'always' overrides any converters and innate weapon element. So 4 elements available for both skills.
2. No longer being endowed twice. Total Atk endowment has been removed.
3. WeaponAtk and EquipAtk are endowed.

I tried Neutral Crimson with Holy Cannonballs, Holy Crimson with Iron Cannoballs and Holy Crimson with Holy Cannonballs.
Neutral/Holy with Holy Cannonballs does the exact same damage.
Holy Crimson with neutral Cannonballs does less damage than using Holy cannonballs.
Tested with OGH undead.
