There is more partying in ROM too than in RO also the chatting is prevalent because you can do leveling while chatting with friends.

Honestly, ROM really isn't that interesting. Only thing that's going to be different other then the mob placement is you can cross class/ have a secondary class for your character. They made a bot into the game so you really don't have to even play it so 95% of the player base is AFK and will never talk. Partying is dead and there's no trading just some auction house thing were every item has a NPC value and an exchange value... There is also gear refining and leveling now instead of just refining like on iRO, so that apps not going to live very long as people would start to feel like they are playing a .HACK// game where it looks like there is a lot of player running around when its really just the built in bot(AI)

 

Not to mention there is 124+ dmg weapons you can get and use on a level 1 character that you pay to get.

 

 

 

 

The fact is current ROM players will not see the game like you do, what they're gonna focus on is a game that is highly accessible has cute graphics and enough nostalgia that will keep them playing. They're not gonna think about how OP an item is as long as it makes them stronger or the number of bots in game lol. That kind of thinking only applies to hardcore gamers like yourself.

The app makes the years I've spent in iRO feel like such a waste... Really miss the pay to play days before reborn/trans when things slowly started getting a bit weird on RO....

The app is like Ragnarok lite version. Most of the players must be adults or young professionals that does not have time to grind like a mad man compared to iRO. It also has QoL features like auto attacking monsters and when you click on a an area in your mini map, your character will automatically move to that point.

Theyve learned that making new version of a dying but legendary game will give a temporary hype that will give them enough time and resources to make a new game which repeats the cycle

Wake up calls are ineffective. Based on recent threads, iRO staff can't do anything until kRO people decides on something so it won't matter how many wake up calls they get. I don't mean to be rude but to me, they're like dogs waiting for their master's orders/instructions(which most employees in the corporate world are like but this is on a whole other level).

Some of my friends, invited me to play RO mobile.

But i still think it twice to play that, since it has to start from zero. And the temptation to spend IRL money is high on that mobile game lol.

Sure the population/player is getting smaller.

to be honest I am quite interested to play ROM once it becomes available, but I wont leave IRO for all the years and money invested.  I really enjoy RO and I dont think a mobile game will be able to drag me away XD, so I am staying here till the server officially dies.

 

Lets hope that the low population of the server is something just temporary as it happened when RO restart appeared and that we get more exciting things from the studio soon.

Since the block on other regions and now bRO coming to warportal (br), the future of my country here in iro is like "we dont have plans now." 
I quit and ask to my friends quit too. Warportal was really good at 2009~2014 but something happend and here we are! 
I can say im sad about iRO situation, because i really love ragnarok and used to love iRO, but at sametime im happy. Boring events, care less for international people, the end of gocash, toxic people here and on bio4 partys. Ragnarok now is a true pve game, pvp is boring as hell, no more fun at woe and to be honest? Better close it and use all the money you guys drain from players and ask for gravity build a new ragnarok. 
Anyway sad but happy! lul

Since the block on other regions and now bRO coming to warportal (br), the future of my country here in iro is like "we dont have plans now." 
I quit and ask to my friends quit too. Warportal was really good at 2009~2014 but something happend and here we are! 
I can say im sad about iRO situation, because i really love ragnarok and used to love iRO, but at sametime im happy. Boring events, care less for international people, the end of gocash, toxic people here and on bio4 partys. Too many bots? What do you call iRO then? At least on the mobile version it is legal or is a feature. You can also regard it as a QoL if you like. Unlike on RO1 it would and will not be and shouldn't even happen.

 

The sword you are calling OP is not OP. It is just a newbie leveling weapon but will never be a end-game weapon unlike those sold via OCP.

 

Although, there will be a time that the mobile will sell MVPs for cash in the future, that is always present on any mobile games.

That tencent version of RO is very nice and it's not very large unlike this RO M that needs 5+ gb of storage space.
